Botters and drop

So as many of you may realise botters are at an all time high. They are doing everything from raw materials to EOJ. Now on a pve server there is nothing you can do about it, but on a pvp server you used to be able to deter their use by farming the bot farming, IE kill that bot farming dogs and make it drop you the stacks it is lazily working for. Bots at the moment run the auction house on Grimdal, it is more than likely the same case on most servers. So my question is this why are they aloud to continue to exist when they have had videos/screenshots of them running and blatenly bosting about the fact that they bot in say/zone/even some in world. If the work is too much to track and confirm their botting status i understand that with newer and newer programs coming out to circumvent RoM's safeguards. A quick fix would be to bring back whites dropping. The level gap for drops has already been shunted from 10 lvls to 5 lvls so actual players are already less likely to be able to drop since as anyone knows reds are greatly underequiped do to their higher drop rate and you can only seal 8 items. It would benefit the players and Admins because the Admins would not have to spend time tracking down potential botter claims, and would stabalize the economy due to people having to actually work for what they have not just turn on a bot and leave for a day to come back to a ton of things to sell at the price they want. Just some food for thought.

I have to agree - bring back the old way, when whites dropped, and blue and up didn't. You could at least protect the little guys with a cap that allows them to drop only when they are level 25 and up. Now the pvp thing is that NO body liked getting PK'd yet why did u come to a PVP server then? Let PVP return to its old days of glory... ya all have PVE to keep your little selves safe in..I for one, enjoyed the thrill of escaping or even getting revenge on the pker.. I don't PK but I came to PVP for the challenge. Yea.

Botting

An unfortunate occurrence happened to me regarding the botting issue. I farm the ants frequently on my server. Another player came to my location and harassed me for an entire hour. I'm certain that this player was presuming that I was botting. I've been playing this game for quite a few years (just after Beta?). This incident was the very first time that something like I've described, happened to me. I have invested a considerable amount of my money into this game. Considering my prior sentence it certainly would be counterproductive; to say the least, for me to put my account in peril. I did what I could to dissuade yet another unfortunate event with this member. My point is this: although I do not like botters ,preventing botting should not become a "witch hunt". In short; among other actions I have taken to be certain that what happened to me will cease; whenever any player is in the area and stops for a minute or 10; I interrupt getting the arrows from the ants and type in say multiple times: "I'm not a botter; kindly let me play this game in peace". To put it simply, addressing this issue when one thinks another player is botting a bit of common sense would solve the problem for the players who do indeed follow the TOS. Something just occurred to me; I may have to resort to taking screenshots; thus interrupting my collecting arrows. It's a shame that I need to stop what I am doing in order to prove that I am not botting; especially if I have invested in tp/xp potions and luck potions.

According to the repeated whispers the players in question were doing anything but questing. Glad you are sorry for something though, even if it is incorrect. Have a great day!:D
