Kicked out of siege?

Now I've had some crazy lag issues before in game as anyone who has seen my siggy video know we all have. Most of that crazy stuff was last years fire festival when siege got totally borked.

But today was something that has never happened to me in my years of playing. first 20 mins or so was fine regular siege lag and minor porting but then it started to seem like server lag, you know the click buff wait 10 seconds then it goes off thing. Restarted my client only to have said lag significantly worse took me about 5 minutes to get to a middle tower where the other guild said yeah their lagging too while jumping around me doing stuff when it took over a minute just for my message to show up, yeah sure your lagging too LOL.
For the entire rest of siege I couldn't do a single thing my character was completely disabled until siege was over then I was perfectly fine -.-

Just wondering if anyone has even been kicked out of siege without crashing/disconnecting before and if so any idea what causes it?

Also has anyone else had that crazy disconnecting last year type lag again recently? And I don't just mean slight second or 2 lag, like clicking resurrect and having to wait around 3 minutes before it works.

It happened to our tank, but he didn't mention everyone freezing. He just said he got randomly hit loading screen while on a bridge, and got kicked out of SW.

Everything freezing (as shown is first part of the video) happened to me, but the issue fixed itself for me in about 5-6 secs. I remember watching one of Cloaked's videos where he had it too as well.

Just siege being siege -_-

U guys aware of network being slow world-wide because of DDOS attacks in last couple of days?

I miss SW last night, so did not have any SW issues. :)

This can be related to your provider or service's provider. They did huge attack on DNS servers. Last night I could not start show on Infinity (comcast service) and my 20Mbps is not fast enough apparently...

I think something like what happened to Bakken has happened to most of us at one time or another. It's certainly happened to me, and back when there were the problems during the Fire Festival, those who were lucky enough to actually get *into* siege found that if they got kicked out due to lag problems, they couldn't get back in.

I suspect that the massive DDoS attack that our *good* friends at Anonymous mounted may have had something to do with the account/toon that I normally have logged on 24/7 in SJF. He's been knocked offline two or three times in the past day or so. Under normal circumstances, he truly *can* stay online for a week, no problem, between server maintenances.
