Friendly/Untargetable Enemies in SW

I thought this was a myth when i first heard of this, but infact, it is true. Let me explain if you're unfamiliar with what I'm saying:

Imagine an enemy. Yet their Health bar is blue (not red as enemies are shown). They are able to attack you, but they can't be hit by our attacks, even AOE's don't hurt them. They aren't detectable by Traps nor Tower Guards. Pretty much an invulnerable enemy.

I'm not about to list names but we faced a guild tonight that had 2 players that had this bug. We asked if he/she/them could relog (Leave/Enter Battle.. takes 10+ seconds) and he/she/them said they had already done so. That's fine, i'll take their word for it. But as this bug had not changed with their relogs, they continued to use this exploit to quickly clear out the traps and clear us out. It was really frustrating

I understand from what i've been told its a bug but if it comes out that this is infact a hack/intentional exploit, i will never enter Siege Again simple as that. Reason won't be a matter of "Runewalker/Gameforge/Frogster keeps SW in Beta.. blah blah blah.. they haven't fixed anything.. blah blah blah.. its their fault" No. (in theory) I will blame the disrespectful, Shameless, Sore Loosing Exploiters/Hackers that they are. "If you can't beat them, Hack" as their M.O. pretty much is. but as it stand's its a bug and i will save hanging my cape up for good for later. I know there's other exploits/model folders/hacks that are unbearable to deal with at times but a total GOD MODE is just insaine.

The problem is, relogging does not fix the issue. The only thing that can be done is ask those players to either not participate, or stay somewhere where they won't interfere with the battle. And not everyone is happy with missing out on a siege (considering that many people play only for siege), even though it would be the right thing to do.

It's not a hack, asfaraswe know it was confirmed it was a bug, however if players are still going to participate in seige while using this exploit, it mgiht as well be a hack.

At least they can baloon farm or set traps but attacking and such is nonsense.

i have video and screen shots of it if anyone cares to see it, also had about 4 people (all from different guilds) whisper me when i said something in world chat about it, turns out it happened to them too same guild as well.... so how is it that 1 bug keep happening to the same guild over and over??

Ive seen this before too, and its persisted long enough to where I think a majority of people have encountered it now. Problem being that relogging the toon doesnt ALWAYS fix the issue, but there have been times where it did.

That being the case, be sure you get a farmer to monitor the siege roster for the other team to be sure the player who's bugged is actually dropping out of siege for long enough to actually relog, instead of hitting exit battle/enter battle, or not exiting at all and claiming to have done so.

we had this happen to us once. I whispered the opposing guild and they told us it was a overseas player "Aussie i believe" and we took them at their word. though he still kept us jumping since he wanted to play and wasnt kind enough to hang back.

To the best of the information available to me, the issue described by sickdust is a bug and not an exploit or a hack. I myself seen it happen in siege. There's no sure and simple way to "fix" it during siege. The bug has been reported to Runewakier.

Suggestions that have been offered include but are not limited to:

1. One or more attempts to simply relog--leave siege and come back in
2. One or more attempts to eave siege, close the game, then relog and re-enter siege
3. Leave siege, close the game, then restart computer, relog and re-enter siege.

If none of those suggestions work, or if there's not enough time remaining in siege to do them, the only "honorable" thing for an affected player to do is to place himself in a position--preferably in his castle--where the player won't be affecting the outcome by attacking opposing players, crystal towers, or the opponent's castle/buildings while being "immune" to attacks.

I have never seen specific characters from specific guilds affected in this way.

If you ask affected players to leave siege and relog because they're immune (green) and they refuse, you're welcome to video record them in that state and submit a ticket to Support.

he knew and used it to kill our team members/traps and take towers.... he would run in kill all of us and the traps while his team waited for the clear to come in and trap/take the tower

and video was send to support hopefully they will review and fix this in a timely matter

i've sent in 3 tickets over the last 2 months...the first they got back me me in about a week, resolving the issue, the 2nd they resolved the issue in <12 hours, and i haven't heard back from the 3rd one yet...

they call it a bug. You can Aoe kill them, So have a mage purgatory fire. or whatever AoE's you do have. Personally I call it an exploit or hack that can be turned off. I say this cuz have dealt with it from another guild on Palenque who suddenly were able to be targeted after someone was world shouting a gm was on server. To me that means that it is no bug. Its something people found out they can do under certain circumstances(exploit) or it's a game hack. Regardless of what the forum mentor has already said. Just AoE them and if the guild is on your server let it be known to your server. We've had several announcements of 2 different palenque guilds who do this.

Good luck with that. If this bug hasn't been fixed in the years that siege has been out, I doubt we can expect it to be fixed anytime soon, even though it's rather game-breaking, albeit rare.

I haven't personally seen it happen myself, but I've heard it from guildmates who've seen people as friendlies in siege. The nice thing to do is to hang back at your castle and farm balloons or place towers - something that doesn't involve interacting with the enemy guild. It's a shame if there are people that don't.

its just a bug, it happened to me before was funny too happened around the time pings started going crazy (like now) dont know why but it just does

Had this happen ter us last night. The opposin players (two o em) SAID they relogged, which no worked. Bout 35 min inter siege they twere targetable finally, but the damage twas done. They also said they came from a weddin. Maybers there be a bug wit the weddin party business that no allows players ter be attackered. Either way, twas a shame that our opponents continued to kill us, an take down towers whilest "friendly."

It might be a bug, but it's also an exploit. This last week, ironically when we get close to SW time my average ping 109 starts to go way up, and if it stays like that above 150, I don't even enter SW. As for the problem described here, I saw it happen with an adversary and only AoE would hit the person, also lots of porting with same guy and another odd thing that is also happening. When you use TAB to swich targets only pets are selected, so I heard this some sort of script / macro or thirdy part program, also my guildmates complained if they selected someone as target by clicking over, target automatically swich for a pet. So should I google "fair play" meaning for these despicable people? I don't care game is broken, that's no reason to exploit every single bug. Is almost like "oh they fixed issue #2 on SW, what should we break today?"
