Thanks to Crescentmoon (Govinda) for the fun siege last night, and especially for agreeing to a negotiated tie due to RoM's sense of humor (?) in scheduling two sieges for Oldiesbutgoodies. We really appreciated that.
I would like to address some of the comments that we--myself in particular--were "hacking", especially whenever my toon (Dobrion, 87/71 R/M) was within 150 or so of at least one opponent.
I don't hack, use 3rd-party programs, or other modifications to the game, other than addons from Curse/Curseforge. If I was the cause of one or more players' clients "freezing up" when I'm within that range, I cannot explain it.
Lag HAS been a real problem lately. Also, our opponents were stacking 6-8 Flame Towers next to our gates at times, and I was using Illusion Blade Dance (lvl 70 R/M elite) to help take those towers down. It could have been a combination of things, but again, I cannot explain with confidence what would cause someone else's client to freeze up whenever I was in the vicinity.
Side note: One of my guildies crashed and, when relogging and re-entering siege, ended up going into the OTHER siege. Backed out and was able to get back into the siege vs. Crescentmoon. Maybe it was a >>full moon<< !
In any event, kudos to Crescentmoon for being as accommodating as they were with us. Considering the problems, I think they're a rather honorable guild. Perhaps next time we're scheduled to face them, we can have a more definitive outcome.
