OOOOOHHHHHHHH! we get to fight the "ghost in the machine" tonight for siege, im willing to bet they cheat and dont let us into siege at all, we all know that hidden guild plays dirty lol btw matchups suck, three guilds have no one to fight at 8pm and we are one of them.

so instead i say good siege to everyone that gets to fight tonight, may the stronger guild win :)

Yeah, we were taking bets on who would emerge the winner there, Heretic or that 318 point guild.

Don't laugh, it could happen.....some of those lower point guilds have several uber geared players...unbelievably uber gear...just sayin. If they show up...but they probably would not against a known guild.

Excellent and fun SW tonight Unity! Great defense and offense from both sides. We thought you would hold our mid after we took yours but we got it back! Our fights are always fun, hope we meet again soon! <3

Well we faced Unum from Osha last night, second time in a week and totally no show guild once again. Would be nice for guilds who are no shows to get a 2 week ban from registering for siege. We do siege to fight oponents not ghosttown ;-(

We took the time to show our lowbies and new players where to put defenses on our towers and bridges, but still.

Anyways it would be nice to have a solution for no show guilds

Unum is a level 5 guild with a total of 5 members. I don't recognize the name of the guild leader, so I'm going to guess that it's a relatively new guild and it could be a group of newbies. I just don't happen to know for certain, one way or another.

You have to take the mediocre along with the good and bad, Zid. I'd much rather have a no-show guild than be matched against one that's going to stomp us into the ground in 10 minutes. (I'm looking at you, PPK.) At least with the no-shows, we can practice tactics, and as you said, teach new players how and where to put defenses.

There have also been times when I've gone up against a terribly under-represented guild or a guild so new that it squeaked. We have occasionally tried and successfully chatted with these less-than-powerful guilds and shown them How It's Done, taught them some of the tricks of the trade, and (hopefully) made some friends, even if they're from other servers.

Good Siege Shoutout:

As it happened last night, we went against Illuminae (Osha) and had an absolutely great siege against them. We're old friends and adversaries. They've gained a few new members recently who have turned what once was an almost walkover for us into a thrilling time. Illuminae kept us on our toes for virtually the entire 60 minutes and we managed to get a win within the last 10 minutes when it had looked as if it was going to be a tie.

I have 5 active people in my guild. Sometimes they show up for seige, sometimes they do not. I still try to register every day. Last night I was by myself, saw we got paired with a guild with 3 times our points, and decided to just skip it and go do my dailies. Don't worry, it wasn't against you Zid. I hope the other guild was not too disappointed that we were a no show, but it happens. I do not think I should be penalized for this Zid, nor do I think RW should spend the resources to find a way to do so.

Well twice in 3 days we faced that guild and they were no shows, if we sigh up for siege, it is because people will be there to fight. Mal i get your point, we got Heretic twice at one time and i have to say i still had fun. I killed a few of them, got to kill Sadakko and Soriya that night and it was awesome!! ;-).

As long as higher guilds make it not about sandbagging, i'm good with that, all about FUN for me ;-)

If i remember correctly we were able to hold 18 minutes versus Heretic, not bad for a failed guild, lol.

Also imagine if i would make an alt guild for all my alts and then signed them all up for siege, how many people would get mad about that?. Having like 20+ empty guilds signing up loll, omg people would lose their minds hahahaha

Deadly from indigo fluctuates score between 1500 and 3500 depending on who we fight and how many of our players show up. Sometimes we get our best players in letting us fight on par with "stronger" guilds, most times we don't have them all in. But I guess what I really want to say is that between registration and sw start, there's an entire 2 hour period.

Sometimes in those 2 hours we get a net increase of 15 players online, sometimes we gt a net decrease of 5 players from the time we registered. So Deadly, and I suspect other guilds, simply sign up at a usual time on a regular schedule, and decide whether they partake in sw or not based on their available players.

If we fight guilds like VVV or PPK or heretic, we usually just opt to raid either an instance or the top of the guild castle during sw time -- similar reasoning might be used by a small group that normally is say 500 points vs a 1500 point guild.

I don't think there are any good ways to fix the "no show" problem, other then perhaps "if you don't show up for sw 3 tiems in a row you can't register for 2 weeks" type of thing, but fat chance anything like that will ever be implemented. While getting no show guilds might be boring or seemingly pointless, it will always happen at some point, for one reason or another.

Well good siege last night, Knightshift, we all worked very hard trying to get into siege on both sides, the ghosts and ghouls prevent us from going in, but heck we still tied and didn't get turned into zombies, loll ;-)

Yeah, it was a nailbiter. With only a few people even able to log in, it is probably just as well that siege was down. Strangely enough, I saw on a previous siege slot a Reni winner, so it was working earlier in a day.

Whispering a bunch of strange rabbit characters and owl characters trying to figure out if we want to arrange a tie due to login issues proved to be useless, as they must've been AFKing - but then when we could not enter siege, moot anyway.

As luck would have it, it seemed like a lot of Reni-Reni and Reni-Osha pairings. For once, the matching logic being a little less than properly random was a boon, not the usual <censored>.

Good siege Corruption. I don't know about you guys, but I had a ton of fun that siege. Never knew how many enemies and how many friends were among those stone piles until I was in tab-target range. Made things interesting to say the least :)

Omg all the stoned people! This is gonna be fun for a while, when you're not sure if they're your people or the enemies...and yes, love fighting you Xamd, ty for great clean siege, as always.

Fun time tonight with Easycompany, but could you please refer your people to Xamd's thread?

well faced Cubalibre and it just doesn't change, always the same. Gennaro good siege to you, good fights and fun with you. Tell your guildies to stop saying HAX or HACKS on us and insulting my guildies in Spanish. We do not and will never sink that low, clean fight or no fight at all for us.

Altough a few of your members were doing questionnable stuff but we expected it anyways ;-)
