@Borella give us free pvp gear! (free gifts might make people more...enthusiastic about this game again)
Even if you had full PvP gear and Upgraded Def 7, K/M will still hit you for nearly 200k, and a C/M can still crit you for nearly a million damage with ER. WA will still dish out 195k if all 3 crits (assuming 200k crit each w/o PvP). I had a warden hit me for 300k CC. With all that, it would be down to 100k. Something tells me I won't live very long either way...

giveen proper pvp gear, no rogue would crit that hard on wound, unless you mean that all 3 hits cobmined MIGHT add up to that much. Even in poopy sw gear, nothing has hit me for upwards of 80k crits on physical damage.

Magical damage is...differnt.
Yes, all 3 hits combined.

With upgraded Defense 7, the hardest hit by a mage instant I remember is 35k crit (unless they start on Magic infusement). Physical damage is... different ><

I think this comes down to: i am a r/wd. I can take hits from most physical players. Magical players hurt if they catch me off guard, but if i need to i hide and use my healer as bait.

You're a mage. If you catch most players off guard, you one shot them, but if you take a hit you die cus cloth.

That's not really true. Maybe a m/wd but even then. You might hit a 500k hp warden for double 150k, and even that's unlikely. They'll have a healer spamming .5 second 120k urgents, and they'll hit you the squishy mage for a few hundred k charged chops. Excluding warmage and knight age, magical skills just don't really hit as hard as physical do.

@ Darwec True, but melee still hits harder than magic. PvE geared rogues can lowblow for 200k, Fireball (and pretty much any other mage instants except M/Wd Flame) certainly can't.

Hide Nerf? There are other things that need a nerf other than Hide

Put down the pitchforks and torches for the hide nerf. It's not that effective of a skill in siege, especially in a game where many cheating players are using a hack (that shall not be named) that allows them to see rogues in hide. I'm not talking just a few players either.

Throw in a few eyes here and there and it pretty much becomes a risky skill to use in siege under certain conditions. I surprised to even hear people moaning about rogue hide skills still when you have 500K hp Champion/Mages running around doing up to and over 2,000,000 damage AOEs in siege and 250+k Wardens charge chopping everything in sight.

No really, healing has been an issue in pvp for a while. Here is the issue: either you swing to far to the tanky side in this game or the bursty side. So either you get one shot, or you dont deal damage. And the people who are middle of the road do no damage and get one shot and then complain on the forums.

Healings not a problem so long as damage is still this high. But yes, if they were to nerf the damage the healers need to be brought down as well.

As long as we have classes that can white hit for 500K, or classes that can burst 3x 200K wound attacks from hide, PvP is never going to be fair. Easiest way to solve that is damage reduction. See: Other games.

So they would also have to reduce Defense then. If you were to reduce damage/heals by 75%, then defense would also have to be adjusted.
So lot more to just reducing damage for SW would have to go on. If not then SW would be reduced to who has more people being the only deciding factor on who wins.

So basically for SW they should adjust all formulas for damage/heals/defense.....think this is really gonna happen?
I would think not.

And Scouts are not nerfed into Oblivion, Learn how to adjust and Scouts can do just fine in PvP/PvE.

I say NO to Nerfing( reducing any class combos strength ), and Yes to Reworking skills like they have been sorta doing such as Priest and Knights have had some skills changed( No Idea if they were for better or worse ).

@kakita01 you're mistaken. The whole point behind the damage reduction would be a hacked together way to raise EVERYONES defense at once. It wouldent be just who has more people, but who uses their defenses most effectively (because if you are constantly feared and flopping, you are going to die). Heals would be the only thing that needs to be adjusted in addition to damage, but if you create a debuf that reduces physical and magical weapon damage while in sw, everything is suddenly reduced at the sametime.

Reducing defense along with it would make the entire thing pointless. The point is to reduce damage and make fights last longer. Give everyone no defense and fights will last just as long as they do now..

Besides right now that's all SW is is whoever has the most well geared people anyway.
