IMHO no it isn't unless you plan to do ALOT of cooking. I personally just go with the anvil, saw and alchemy station so that I can do the refining on my main while in my house soaking up TP bonus. Then ferrot off the refined mats either to an alt for crafting or just donate to the guild.

Also I would point out with the black codex venders and maids (lol whenever they might work) the needs of cooking in general are very low. Not saying non exstant just saying not that high in demand as such in the long run again I would say not overly worth it unless you really want to do cooking bad. Alchemy on the other hand since you need the refining station ANYWAYS wouldn't be a bad choice. Yes black codex does answer some of those needs, but there are still a few pots that are really nice to have. Maids don't provide any of the services that an alchemist would make so they are moot to worry about atm.
