gathering skills

Hello, i'm new to the game i would like to know the variety of gathering skills that you can get. Also i would like to know how and when do you get gathering and crafting skills. Yours -The Phantom-

There are 3 gathering skills. Mining, Woodcutting, and Herbalism. There are simple quests in the newbie starting areas to learn all 3.
