So like, why don't recipies say what skill needed?

I've picked up, seen, looked at, played with, sat on, greeded, needed, bought, sold, and fondled a buttload of recipes with no clue as to what skill is required to build them.

I've looked online, i've looked offline, i've even looked down my pants but still cannot find anything that would tell me what recipes are used by which skill.

Currently i'm looking to buy a recipie to build a ring but it says lvl 25 is required for purchase. LVL 25 WHAT!? Skill don't say, merchant don't say, aaaand nobody else say either.

What the flying hippopotamus!?

I want to build some of the Flame Dragon items. What skill is required for that?

Thanks,
Flashy

Tubular. Would it have been to much to ask for them to put that on that recipe lol?

Did you look at RuneDB?

A lot of times skill of crafting and skill of product are not mathing and those can get mixed very easily.

About the only thing I've ever found on what craft does what is:

Blacksmithing has rings listed a couple of times.

Blacksmithing is all melee weapons, shields and accessories.
Carpentary is all ranged weapons (yes i include wands and staves as range too ;-P) and talisman.
Armorcrafting is leather, chain and plate gears with the exception of the leggings from the logar windmill sets which is in tailoring.
Tailoring is all cloth gears (includes cape), with the exception of head from the logar windmill set which is in Armorcrafting.

Though I have no idea why only head, upper body, lower body, feet and cape pieces can be crafted. though they do allow u to make hand piece for the Ralte's sets. Maybe its just that i dont have them high enough but I doubt it.

Go trough crafting >> blacksmith - and then search for that category only.

http://www.runesdatabase.com/recipe/list/15#recipes:+1+0

You'll find your ring in there... so blacksmithing. ;)

I do it the easy way. All crafts require runes, and each craft has it's own rune it uses.

Remember which class does which rune and look to see which the recipe uses.

That is a sublimely efficient and clever way to identify the recipes.

I dare say you could even have it added into a general addon such as pbinfo or something to show craft using this simple method.

I don't know if you are going to fit in to these forums very well, being so sensible though. People might start poking you with pointy sticks.
