Frost runes, where and dismantling?

Hi, just started playing yesterday and Im trying to get my Blacksmithing up, but Im stuck on frost runes atm, tried farming the appropriate mobs but got like 1 for 100 kills. Can they be obtained from dismantling? Which are the most frequent mobs that drop them, Im a 15w/13Wd. Thanks in advance!

Frost runes drop of mostly water themed creatures. there are mobs all over but the best places for farming are ystra and coast of opportunity.

First thing you need to understand is the drop rate. You start with a very low drop rate as a baseline. The fastest ways to improve this re through using nebula jewels on wings or hiring a housekeeper and choosing production. past level 50 or so your housekeeper will make you a potion that improves drop rate by 75%.

The next thing you need to understand is drops are level based. So if you are farming a mob that drops frost runes, but is you level, you will normally get 1 per kill with housekeeper buff up. However if you kill mobs that are 3-4 levels higher than you are you will get multiple runes per kill.
