Camera Zoom

Is there a way to bind the mouse zoom in/out to something other than the mouse wheel?

Because I can not find any setting for this under hotkeys or any options.

But this has become very annoying to me because I have my mouse set up so scroll up/down are bound to keystrokes, so i can use them for healing.

But here is the problem, whenever I enter the house, the Camera always automatically zooms in real close.

So I have to exit the house, open my mouse software program, change settings. Go back in game, fix the camera, go back outside my game, change the program settings back to normal, and then enter the game again.

Now this isnt the most difficult thing for me to do, but it is extremely annoying because I have to go through that everytime I enter the house or any type of instance where the game changes where my Zoom was set at.

Is there anyway I can lock camera zoom ? Or is there a way to change the camera zoom hotkeys to something else?

Or any other way around this. To me mouse scroll is way too convienent a key to be just only utilized for a function people rarely use.

not yet although i could really use this too. i like to play on my laptop and it doesnt have a scroll wheel only a touchpad.

there is an auto-zoom out addon though at curse that works pretty well. i use it for this reason.

I to play on a laptop, mine has a built in up/down scroll in the touch pad, but alas it does not work for zoom

so until a keybind is added i just have to gank my mouse from my desktop, and thats really annoying when someone needs to use the desktop and im not home

Sounds like maybe this Auto-zoom add-on should be broken apart and instead of auto zooming, set it up with a key bind

There is now an addon for this at the curse.com site. I haven't used it or checked it out because I have a G15 that does it for me with a keypress, but it might be worth looking into if you guys/gals still need the addon.

It's called AutoZoomOut.

call it a necro if you will, call me a bad person if you will, but filling up the forums with the same things over and over again is worse.

i' not looking for an addon. i'm not looking for a DiYCE script. i'm not looking for anything fancy involving opening up the rom folder and tweaking files, i'm looking for an honst to god /run cameradistancex or some stupid thing macro command to zoom your camera out. can this be done? x.x

AutoZoomOut is capable of doing this.

You will have to check out the commands as I do not remember the exact one.

Do remember that RoM places a softcap to how far you can zoom out legitimately.
