Siege War Record Add-on

I personally don't have that add-on but I wanted to know if it tracks all the war records in the past.
The siege war on the night of the last day in April was pure blank in all of my guildmate's siege war record. They logged in and out and still nothing.

If you crash it gets erased, like the settings of any other addon unfortunately, you have to relog right after siege to make sure it stays pretty much. Logging in and out won't do much since once siege ends the data is gone forever unless someone in the guild has it in their logs.

Expanding on that, War Record collects whatever data it can while you are logged in, then (after a bit of rearranging) saves what it knows upon log-out. It only knows the same things you can see in the Battles menu or end-of-battle player stats. There is no ability to query the server for the history; it doesn't keep it.

That does make sense then. We had a lot of crashes during that siege war but for the war record to be blank means nothing got recorded?

Also, another quick question - if you crash right as the siege is ending, you won't have the war record correct because "it only records what you can see"?

depends on the timing probably, but yes. Happens sometime. You could still get a copy of a guildies data but getting it out of the lua file and importing it again would be quite a hassle.

btw just out of curiosity: Is "GuildSiege QuickTrade" a heavily used addon on the US side too? :)

I assume you mean that day's entry is missing, not the entire list. If you come back after the battle's over, you should at least get the guild end ratings (assuming the latest versions).

I have a mountain of notes about various ways that the game client has failed to report data in the past. I haven't played in over a year, so I wouldn't have seen such a case recently, or any potential bug in the add-on either. The game API and add-on code haven't changed in quite a while.

(edit)
Oh! Are you referring to the player details, rather than the guild entries? In that case, yes, if the crash happens while leaving the battlefield, it's gone. Nothing can be done there.

Yes, player details. Merit counts, kill count, ranking in defense, heals, etc. All that was blank.
I was extremely mad because that war I broke my previous record of 338 kills and I desperately wanted it screenshotted and it turned out none of my guild mates had a copy of it then or now.
