Weapon Plus

Once you start to plus your weapons the weapon receives a shine/glitter/sparkle effect.
I do not like the +15(green) or +16(yellow) shimmer they tend to increase lag and obnoxiously hide the agg of my weapon.
Is there a way to hide the shimmer? perhaps a box to check/uncheck in the interface settings?

You could try the "hide spell effects", option, but I have no idea if it applies.

There used to be a way to remove effects like this, but it's not officially allowed anymore. :(

I know that the official line is that editing game files is not allowed, yet the method to aliviated the crashing in siege by editing the files to disable the culprit effect was endorsed by GMs via the forums. So, since I never have seen anything to counter the GM response, is there one?

Not since they declared it an exploit and a violation of terms of service then deleted the thread and all mention of it from the forums.

RSE was a nice and helpful thing until people abused what it did. However, since the "Hide Player Effects" option is now available ingame, RSE is no longer tolerated (and really should not ever have been) as it violates the TOS & EULA.

I will now close this thread as the original question has been answered and the discussion is steering toward areas that could result in infraction points or forum bans (temporary or otherwise) and I'd rather not have to go down that path.
