Proof of Magic

Archeologists from all over Taborea are currently collecting Phirius Shells from adventurers. They want to study the magic that the Phirius Workshops are said to have connected to these shells.

If you own any such Phirius Shells, find Owenstein, Frank and Eve in the Battle Square of the Obsidian Stronghold (Channel one only).

Depending on how many Shells you can hand them in one go, they will reward you with 1, 2 or 3 proofs of myth, Frank and Eve will also provide Simple Repair Hammers for your adventures and Eve will give you some Ancient Mementos to boot.

This event runs from 30/04/2013, at 8:00am PT until 06/05/2013, at 11:00pm PT. You may participate with each account once per day.

After some strategical planning, thanks for this awesome event and ~300 proofs. Hopefully pulling some ODs.

Also I must admit the timing is impeccable, right after fixing Wodjin and Goblin exploit.

I must have missed this suggestion, but how are u guys getting 300+ proofs, u must have 20 alts all with 1000 shells or something. For a regular player as myself i only have 1 character above level 50. So for the event running most i can get is 9 proofs. So pretty much a useless event for me personally. Thanks for the thought though

I don't think so. Or do you have 8 accounts (not characters) with ~5k shells each ?

its 1 exchange per NPC and account per day.

675 shells per account and day for 6 proofs, 35 hammers, 25 mementos.

4725 shells in the whole event for 42 proofs, 245 hammers and 175 mementos , per account not character. So how many accounts(!) with that amount of shells do you have? ...

@GarySandstorm: you could either sell the 9 proofs you get or buy 1 more proof and pull 2 times the level75 stuff, thats not too bad for 1k shells exchanged, is it?

I have 12, but not all of em fill up with shells. Either way its 160 shells/day, 1120 for the whole event. That leads to 10 proofs/account without the extra shells I already have. For a normal lv 50 character its 130 shells/day (the first malatina is hard to do if you not geared enough), that still leaves me with a pretty sum of proofs :x Not much to do on a server that cant run anything, you end up spending your day doing minis for 20 plus toons.

Yoman, does that mean you can get 1 of each (100+225 +350?)

I said long time ago, they should rise cap level for shells.

PS: for those with SFM accounts, there should be "Malatina's Course of Terror Repeat Ticket"s available for the points. i think i read somewhere that the itemcodes do work on the US side but only the diamond codes don't. No warranty though.

PPS: grab a mage who's able to kite and use some brains (it's a bit of work though - no, not the use of brain ....but we're talking about mages...hmmm....)

Yes, according to Inferiority, those codes do work (other than the diamond one) for US servers.

However...registration is currently broken, so no one can actually start acquiring points for it until they fix the bug.

Decent event, although would be better if PoM's was traded for an item that could be sold, because it would stimulate the economy (which is currently completely dead on Govinda) at the same time.

A bit weird that the 350 shell reward is worse deal than the 200 shell reward, and the 200 shell reward a worse deal than the 100 shell deal, intuitively, I'd think it should be the opposite, but oh well. Proof event is proof event.

Confirmed that its 1 trade for each NPC, so you can trade all 3 NPC's and get up to 6 PoM's/day on each account as long as you can get 675 shells to trade all 3 NPC's everyday.
