I can honestly say I'm glad the event is over. Now I can get some sleep!!!

Fantastic event. If it happens on a recurring basis, I would hope it would not happen too often. My only fear is that PoM stats will become the new standard. The current method of statting seems to be that Shell/EoJ/Mento/Instance stats are intended to bring players to the level they need to be at to do current content. The PoM stats, on the other hand, are a rare treat to augment the standard level stats. If PoMs become the new standard, then new content will need to be scaled up match the strength of PoM-statted characters.

I'm not saying you should do away with PoM stats or methods/events that make PoM stats more available; I'm just saying that the event, if repeated, should be done infrequently enough that Shell/EoJ/Mento/Instance statting remains the norm.

I didn't like the event format at all but I did love the access to POMs of course.

What I really didn't like was pulling 8 under dura pieces with 8 crap stats.

If I do the work I shouldn't have to rely on luck to get results.

It's just like the plusing jewels in the cash shop.

If I buy diamonds or do the work to buy other players diamonds, I shouldn't have to rely on luck.

The same could be said for gashas which is the only way to get perfect advanced plusers most of the time.

Remove gambling from the game and you'll keep players happy by giving them what they pay for.

The extra income gambling generates is not worth the hatred of the game that is generated.

It doesn't create a challenge, it's just a plain old slap in the face.

On top of the understandable and unavoidable game bugs of such a huge game, it's just not smart to upset people even more.

Most businesses avoid gambling in their marketing unless it's completely free and there's nothing to lose.

Imagine going to mcdonalds and ordering a combo meal but there's only a chance you'll get french fries with your meal.

Sure they have gambling promotions like roll up the rim to win but it's a complete bonus to your purchase!!!

You can say that gashas have a guaranteed product so the rest is a bonus, but the problem is the bonus items are not available anywhere else!!!

It's like mcdonalds only selling french fries in combos and the odds of getting in the combo are not great.

This stuff is pretty easy to fix. Give each pom/eoj/shell gear fixed stats like before.

Make all jewels perfect jewels.

You can keep gashas, just make sure all items can be purchased normally.

Oh, and if you really want to sell diamonds, just make a "platinum hammer" that increases durability of an item to 120. Average the cost of hammers you sell per item and divide by at least half, then you have the price. I'm sure people would pay up to 999 diamonds for such hammers. Which costs more than the hammers they may ever use but it makes hammering gear easier when you can easily get all OD gear. And some will just want all 120 dura gear. Think about it!

Sorry if mostly off topic. But it's just same old do work get nothing in return scenerio.

Oh, and remember, we're already gambling with each other everytime we roll for gear in an instance. So add bad luck in instances + bad luck in pulls + bad luck in plusing = complete hatred of game. I'm sick of it! QQ

But it wouldn't be so bad losing rolls for gear if I can then go pull a guaranteed stat after doing several hours of work mem farming or eoj farming. It's not rocket science.

Nothing in this thread even agrees with this, except your own post. If you're referring to this event (and I'm assuming you are, since you posted it in here), don't make a conclusion without reading the other 99% of the posts.

And what does agreement with thread have to do with anything I said? It's my opinion.

If you want to reply, then at least point out some logic how you find the gambling aspect beneficial in some way. I don't see it helping people to enjoy the game at all but I will consider any logical thoughts you can bring me.

I'm only referring to this event in the fact that it's a lot of work to often get little in return because the stats are not guaranteed. They are random, and often crap, at least in my experience and my opinion. Everyone is different of course.

As for making a conclusion before reading the thread that makes no sense. I'm not making any conclusions on the opinions expressed in this thread. I'm simply expressing my opinion.

Things have been lacking with events and such but when a good one does come along GIVE CREDIT where it is due. If you check my post history you will find that i complain when i feel the complaint is legitimate, i also give credit when it is due.
this was an excellent event. It gave MANY players access to gear or stats they could not normally get otherwise.
i respect your opinion regardless of my own. But please just speak for yourself and not all of us.

I think the biggest thing people should take from this event is that someone is listening to suggestions. I know there are a lot of them out there, so it is good that an event like this was actually implemented. We, as a community, should continue to make suggestions for not only fixes but to adding content as well to continue to have fun in this game.

So since this is a thread about POMs and the event, here are my suggestions for the future:

1. Since people obtained a lot of POMs during this event, with the next content and higher stats the requirement could be 7 POMs per stat.
2. Offer ABLs again in item shop on a quarterly basis.
3. The dia sale was a decent bonus, but what would have been better was a sale on puris or create decent puri packages that work out to something like buy 3 get 1 free along with a driller.

There's no fulfilment? Seriously? I think there's plenty after grinding for hours and being rewarded for the effort.

But you agree about the plusers, thank god!

I'm not insinuating it, I'm flat out saying it for the people I KNOW FOR A FACT share my opinion because they have told me directly on many occasions.

Sorry for the offtopic guys. Some people just want to argue on forums. But they seem to often avoid the facts and don't make any real objections to opinions they don't like.

Back on topic of the event. I also didn't like that it basically rewarded players who could multibox the most and who could power level toons and/or who had more accounts setup, and maybe even shells saved up by chance.

Even though I can run two clients myself and I got a decent amount, many of my guildies barely got any.

So again I didn't like the format at all. I do appreciate it in that it's better than nothing that's for sure.

And I'm also happy it's something that was suggested by the players.

Personally, I just wish they picked a different suggestion.

Fantastic event! 6 OD pieces in about 100 poms are not a bad deal at all, esp for f2pers. The leftover poms shall be saved for lv 80 helm and gloves. Now hopefully with better gear, the ppl in grimdal can at least try to do kbn hm.

on topic: the only good that came from this event was a little extra cash in me knapsack from selling some PoM...was good, but i would a lived w/o it...good they listened to the players tho...

Wow 100 poms, that's sick. Gratz to you. And you have more? That's like insane amounts of minigame runs and accounts.

I like the idea, bu I dislike how easily and largely exploited it was. For example, above the person who got over a hundred by multiple clienting, or many on my server wo have bragged that they have well over a hundred. These currency items are for the best gear and stats in the game, giving a few away is all wel and good. Giving them away to anyone who can sit and power level and multi account all day to get hundreds is not a good format.
