So is this contest done? Or canceled? Extended?
Edit : Yeah I need to learn to read the entire thread before I post huh Kalvan, my bad. I tried to delete the post but that didn't work well.![]()
If someone cannot clear TOSH, it does not mean they do not try just as hard clearing content that they are capable of. You assumed that people are not clearing endgame content because they are lazy, which is not always true. In the case where people are being lazy, then of course they do not deserve anything. But it should not be the fault of the player, if there are only sufficient players willing/able to run a less difficult instance which they think is the limit of their capabilities given the manpower available. (Of course, there is little point discussing this, since Mika has already stated that this would not be detrimental to someone's chances to win. THe original post led me to believe that people should run instance that are near their level - aka within 5-10 levels).EXactly.. so the people who are good players should get the extra money for diamonds. Why should someone who can't even clear ToSh, which is an instance that came out 10 levels ago, be able to get some extra dias? You obviously don't need the diamonds, cause you're not using them correctly. I think it makes perfect sense. Reward the players that have put in the work to gear and clear the latest instances, not the players who can't clear a thing.
Doesn't it make sense to you that the people who "Spend 100$ on golden hammers" SHOULD be the ones getting the money rewards? Why would it be the level 80 who's never spent a dime and can only clear HoS?
Also, the amount of $$ people spend should NOT correlate to their chances to win, or make them more "deserving". Contests should not be designed to see who is able to spend the huge amount of money required to clear content.
Using low level alts to run low level instances - I will admit, that had not occured to me yet as I wrote my post. It wasn't intended to be a QQ (I think Yoman sees all my posts as QQ these days), I simply stated what I perceived to be a potential issue based on what I know about people's dungeon's capabilities. Of course, I'm not saying that it WILL be an issue (I am a human being like everyone else - I won't try to pretend that I am always right). Its simply a projection (which may or may not be correct), and is, of course, open to criticisms and disagreements.
And Mika, of course we appreciate contests, and I look forward to the other contests you have planned for us. I look forward to seeing some screenies from Origin myself, its probably one of the most beautiful instances, imo.

This is going to sound troll, but why should we listen to anything you have to say about running instances when you yourself have said you only log on for siege? Before you ask for proof of when you said it, look here

Actually, me no did bother ter enter fer one big reason. So many competitions in the past by Gameforge never had the rewards given out. Why bother.
