You may be asking yourself, why in the world I would be posting in the oldest thread ever?

Well, it's simple... the last few weeks the forums have been nothing but arguments and complaints. I find myself not wanting to post in ANY of the topics because they are the same regurgitated conversations over and over. I, for one, would like to move on and start having normal, civil, constructive, and a generally fun time again.

Maybe it's just to early in the morning (only on coffee #1) and my judgement is a little screwy but my idea is maybe if we all just take a second to remember WHY we started playing this game in the first place, and why it is we are all STILL playing it, we might discover what's really important.

It's a game, and it's fun as hell. I play this game because the community is awesome, I love my guild and the people in it. I like running into someone and partying up just for that one quest. I love logging on and leaving all my real life worries at the character select screen. I love helping others with questions or quests, I love this game for many reasons and I don't want to start resenting it because a few people can't seem to relax and enjoy themselves.

It seems this game has become "work" instead of "fun" for some people. So please, don't flame this thread. Instead remember why it is you started playing and say what you love most about it. Try to let your inner child come out and forget the politics.

i came to rom cuz it was new at the time, cheaper than my last mmo, some freinds came to rom with me cuz we got bored with no quests/content. fell in love with the game easily, so much to do, but little time to do it.

I have to agree, this game hooked me quick too. i think the first time I ever logged on I didn't log off until I was level 20. Even then it was only cause I had to.
