sleepers

Here's a couple of sleepers you guys may like:

Mr Brooks - Kevin Costner plays a serial killer with an imaginary friend/split personality. The concept is brilliant, and the acting is spot on. The music is even good without being distracting. Also stars Demi Moore and Dane Cook.

Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon - pokes fun at the slasher genre better than Scream did. No big names here, but whoever wrote it deserves kudos.

Oh Brother Where Art Thou? - Someone mentioned this in their five, and it is good. George Clooney in a clever take on Homer's Oddysey. The sirens are HAWT! You might even find that you like the bluegrass music too, lol.

Not at this time. I thought what I supplied was suggestive enough.

1} LOTR trilogy nothing compares

2} The Godfather 1 and 2 what happened to 3 I can't figure out.

3} Jaws the greatest terror movie ever before the sequels ruined it.

4} The Wild Bunch the greates western ever

5} Star Wars IV, V and the first half of VI before the three stooges in bear suits showed up and ruined the series. About I and II nothing more than Jar Jar Binks needs to be said then III made a minor comeback.

Come on, Evox are highlights of that serial. :D

@ Kalvan - creativity not on it's high? Meh, there are some more 'zombi' and 'necro' like movies and games, but we can't mention those here, right? :D

You mislepped "Ewoks".

I mentioned "The Necronomicon" for its obvious "necro" quality WRT this thread.

Otherwise, it was the inspiration for my local friends' New Years Eve party event of "Who can bring the worst movie to show?".

Current "worsts" for us are "Gigli" and "Ishtar" I've provided such turkeys as "Dungeons and Dragons" and "Glen or Glenda" (semi-autobiographical film by Ed Wood, director of "Plan 9 From Outer Space", arguably the worst movie ever. Arguably, as I consider "Gigli" to be far worse.)

Sorry about misspelling Ewoks. Place I grow up we used a bit different spelling, and you can tell that I am not much of [EDITED] fan by still being here. :D :D

As for bad movies, I think that Travolta and movie he made from his spiritual leader book - Battlefield Earth - by far worst made movie of all time. :D

As kid I loved the book, great read, but the movie... really bad experience.

Back to your necrophilia... have you seen Sweet Kill? :p :D

I've seen bits and pieces of "Battlefield Earth". Loathed the few minutes I wasted on it and would love to sue Travolta to get them back. I never read the book, or its sequels/series mates, and have no intention or interest.

"Gigli" is worse.

"Sweet Kill" might be a candidate for our "Bad Cinema" party event, will have to keep it in mind. IMDB.com doesn't show it, so it may not be available on DVD.
