I find it funny when the fanboys play forum mod and tell people "try searching the forums before creating a new thread"

Then someone searches the forum and posts a question to the topic 2 months old and the fanboys start saying "necro ib4 Kalvan" they giggle like little girls and the thread gets closed without the players question being answered.

This is why fanboys may seem helpful but their motives stem from wanting FA staff attention.

Anyway I really think GM/FM's should choose another term or just stick with "necroing" rather than "Necrophilia" because it is in poor taste as said above and a disgusting as I said before lol

You're correct, necrophilia does mean love of the dead, which is indeed disgusting if you think about it like that. But necrophilia is also valid slang for posting in an outdated thread, as vfwiffo proved with a link. Though you haven't heard of necroing before, even with your extensive forum experience, it is not unique to this forum. As for what is disgusting or in poor taste, I can think of a few usernames that hardly evoke the image of a peaceful mountain lake.

GM necro-ing posts imho is creating more problems then solving any issues.

Instead of trying to keep it simple by posting on already existing tread about the same issue (no matter how old), you are here advised to open a new tread, thus create more problems once someone search for solution. (multiple treads about the same issues)

I can understand if tread is 5-10 years old, but here whole community is at top 2-3 years old.

I think our thoughts and lines of suggestions should be that the mods, and admins, need to not complain about someone nec'n (another term for ya SP) a post when in fact it is the mods/admins fault for not closing a thread that has aged and dried up. Really don't need to leave a topic open if the issue has been resolved or if it is over a year old and impertinent to today or of recent.

If the issue comes up again, and there is a solution in another thread to that post, direct the noob cloning the dead post by giving the poster a NICE message in PM and CLOSING AND DELETING the dawn of the dead post. That is what the job of moderating and administrating is for. As a previous co-admin and mod, we liked to keep our forums cleaned up. 1+ year old closed posts that have no pertinent information in them were moved to a hidden section. Do your jobs darnit :p

Found a great example. Clean the forum once in awhile ffs http://forum.us.runesofmagic.com/showthread.php?t=71 Worthless waste I bet if you went through just this section that you could take 59 pages down to 20. Much easier for necronoobs to do a search.
