Players affected with the nor easter....

As a resident of Massachusetts I just wanted to point out that some players are affected in the state here in New England to include Connecticut,Massachusetts. As for myself I was out of power for 17 hours in freezing cold conditions. 90% of Connecticut towns are without power and about 75% of western mass residents. My thoughts are with the players and families affected by this storm and it's aftermath. I just wanted to fill you all in on this and current recovery efforts are continuing and some affect players are seeing a time frame from 2-14 days.

Thanks,

Specs

I lost power from 12:30 AM to 6 AM, but nothing more. Last night it was reported that 91% of residents in my town were without power, but currently that number is down to 78%.

Even though everything is running now, this whole triple xp/tp weekend couldn't have come at a worse time for us up here. My power was flickering all day and I needed to keep generators up and running for a few elderly people who probably won't see all of their lights come on for the next two or three days. Hopefully it worked out well for everyone else. I'll get my scout to 67 the next time double/triple/whatever xp comes around.

Been following this... sad to hear about the deaths caused by the storm and I hope power is restored quickly.

I will admit though that I wish we were getting some of the snow :(

Hope you guys stay warm and safe,

GM Aquila

My father is in the Hatford, CT area and he said that, due to the leaves still being on the trees, the weight of the snow took down nearly all of the trees in his yard and visible from his house. This is no joke as his property abuts a reservoir and forest preserve. Not good at all!

Sad to hear about trouble with nature... especially one causing human loss.

Here in Michigan we have cold weather, but not as we used to. Lake effect is what causes similar problems here. Last time we had really bad one I did not have power for a week, and my tree destroyed roof of my neighbor garage. :o (Luckily both of his old muscle cars that he stores in that garage/barn were untouched.)

One of the deaths was a 20 year old in Springfield,MA that was leaning on a wooden guardrail while cops were checking on it ...don't understand the wooden thing but sad day.....worst thing besides that is the gasoline shortage due to no power in towns...and alot of dunkin donuts are busy....I guess people need their coffee and gas really bad....

And yes Stagg3r it is cause it hasn't been cold enough for the foliage to turn and fall as seen Collusion's photo..

here is a photo of a tree on my father's house (and still without power)....

Having gone through similar weather situations myself in the past, I'd like to add my thoughts and prayers for those affected by the rather unseasonable snowstorm in the northeastern portion of the US, along with some of our Canadian friends who may be hit by it, as well.

Not to belittle the current situations with weather, but...

I did NOT get ANY snow AT ALL!

I am thoroughly upset as a hockey-fighting, igloo-living Canadian to not got any snow.
And then Keanu Reeves walks in, and he's all like 'Whoa', and we're all like 'Whoa, it's Keanu Reeves!'
