ok so im a noob i would like one of those cool custom signatures with a pic of my toon,and i do not know how to do this.
There used to be a couple of threads where someone would make sigs for you, but neither player has been seen around the forums for quite some time (I'm thinking about
Deliria's and
Adami's threads, may be useful for ideas though).
If you want to try your hand at rolling your own, you could start with wolfowl77's quickie guide to making a sig with GiMP here:

You can get some cool fonts for use at
http://www.dafont.com/ (note that some fonts here are only free for personal use, while others are completely free, so check the license for the fonts you might want to use).

Oh yeah, if you want a simple, un-posed view of your character, you can try my
PhotoShoot add-on (note that it does remove the weapon from the views).
