Just one account hacked is one too many. Your system is compromised, whether it is by an internal, rogue employee, or by a third party cyberspace criminal, this is an urgent situation that demands immediate attention. The weekend, and the fact that employees are absent is no excuse for ignoring a volatile situation that is getting out of hand like a wild fire.
I would like to point your attention to SONY who ALSO ignored a similar situation. Their hacking went viral, and hundreds of thousands of gamers LEFT the game and quit their accounts. In addition, all the major news sites like CNN, CBS, YOUTUBE, and FACEBOOK carried the message to the entire gaming community world wide.
The result? SONY shut their doors down for a month. The jury is still out on whether the accounts they lost ever returned or how much money they lost.
The ball is in your court Frogster. Answer these players whose accounts have been compromised. Assure them that their virtual assets will remain intact or be reimbursed. Continue to support them and the rest of your customer base while you sort this out.
Because if you don't take steps to put out THIS fire, the storm to come will kill this game and you will have no one left to censor/monitor or provide you with the funds to keep you employed.
