Why are so many against all Anti-Bot suggestions?

As the title says I want to know why some players are vehemently against any sort of anti-bot suggestion. Is it because they are botting themselves?? Or is it that they support botters? Seems like anytime an anti-bot suggestion is posted the same few players post that the idea wont work and shouldn't be implemented. That is rather strange when as I see it most of the player base are against botting and gold farmers who are the majority of botters. I would like some real discussion not the crap that is spouted by people that want all anti-bot suggestions buried.

because now the only golden egg we can have, per day, we need to get it oursleves. and its just one. so pretending to make the game better by ridding it of botters, is only disguising its true motives i.e.: making us buy diamonds to level our pets, which by the way is a ridiculous amount

it takes 2,9M XP to level you pet to level 70. with golden eggs you need say 29k eggs to get there from level one... now 29000 eggs / 1 egg / day = 29000 days... i dont have 80 years to waste on a pet.

other solution, buy pet potions from store. make 10x more XP per.

again 2.9M XP / 1000 XP per potion = 2900 potions

even on special pet potions are +/- 15-20 diamonds

2900 potions * [15:20] diamonds = [43500:58000] diamonds

now do the math and see how much that will cost you

like im ever going to pay over 1 grand, even over 20$ for a pet this is so ridiculous.

Because we have discussed your ideas on multiple threads, we have proven to you why they won't work, and you respond by writing them off as botters. Then when you get called out on it, you make a new thread whining about it.

That probably has something to do with it.

I gotta say I must be blond, I thought the goal was to lvl it high enough to max out their pet's buffs/skills whatever....are there more passive skills that unlocks higher than lvl 44? I thought at lvl 44 was the last skill & once u obtained enough pts to max out that skill, then ur done?

Trying to keep the dishonest folks from ruining the game is always a balancing act.

What I don't think is right, is when a spammer is reported, and I mean the actual spamming (level 1-5) in Logar or Varanas, etc. Why should they be afforded the same privacy protection, those toons aren't "players", reveal them, show something is being done about them.

Better still, everyone knows when you see that whisper/world shout/zone shout, it is a spammer, why the heck aren't those sites added to the auto-filter, it would sure make it harder for them to spam if their messages get rejected.

well you get all skills maxed when you pet is lvl50. now ok my example was the extreme... but still to get you pet to level 50 you'd need 9.3k diamonds (and thats assuming the potions are 15 diamonds each)

A) anti-botting measures usually affect gameplay
B) they usually don't fix what they try to solve
C) anti-botting measures on player side can be abused
D) the results of anti-botting measures are generally inconclusive
E) they cost money to the company who implements them (generally if you make a large purchase it also affects the price put on the burden of the customers)
F) you will never ever succesfully kill off bots on the user end as long as companies can't control your computer

Honestly the only way you can prove someone is a bot is through direct monitoring, but it becomes more or less obvious when they're in the game, but even then you'll have people who plead and claim that they're not bots, even after you've watched them multiple times. As is, it's a nightmare for customer support.

Ok so kefkai is the only honest one that ahs in teh past shot down anti-bot solutions made by me and others. I will agree with him that it can cost money to program in certian anti-bot solutions. Also balancing the game for those of us that are honestly playing the game and not supporting botters by buying items from them can be hell.
But I will still say this there are a lot of good ideas and they were thoight out real well by the people that came up with them, and yet they still got shot down by a couple people who in my opinion are the true problem.
There is one among this post that ahs torn apart EVERY post on anti-bot suggestions with tripe and misinformation it ahs become just plain stupid to even attempt to argue with him/her on any level due to their immature mentality.
Botters can be stopped IF the player base can agree with the good suggestions. Yeah I might be whining but the true problem cannot be solved by attempting to shoot down every suggestion without trying them first.
I can say this about the Bot _Bomb idea. The poster (whom was not me) had thought it out very well.
For those that want to buy their way through daily quests I say this again, get off your lazy butts and play the game. Quit supporting the farmers and the botters which is exactly what you do when you buy any daily item off the AH.

Angel I ahte to say this but you have vehementaly burnt down EVERY anti-bot suggestion out there, so I ask you this. What is your deal, are you so for botting and gold sellers that you defend their actions without hesitation or care, or are you jsut against the ideas to be a tool?? Or worse yet are you a gold farmer or botter? It is becoming quite apparent to me that one of the questions I jsut asked has to be true.

Sorry Dio but I ahd to ask those questions and if noone ahs anything to say but to bash this post then close it now. I dont want to be bothered with the gold farmers/botter defenders anymore.

I have explained why each of your idea's won't work in great detail

That doesn't mean i support or am in favor of botting

It means your idea's are stupid and won't work

Umm, just because someone disagrees with you does not make them a bot/gold spammer/have some ulterior motive. Im pretty sure angel shot down those ideas because they believe the ideas would not work or were just not very good. I've seen all those other threads, and people didn't just randomly say "no, don't do it, as it would interfere with my botting." No, they brought up specific reasons why something would not work.

I feel like it would be better to take the reasons why something may not work into consideration and possibly think of a different solution or modify the current ideas into something which does not have those issues. That is the purpose of discussion

Why can't someone just have a differing opinion without someone making libelous claims about them?

I am on the lookout for suggestions of all kinds, specifically regarding this topic. While there have been a lot of great ideas on how to rid us of the botter plague, not all of them are practical or executable for whatever reason. The back and fourth discussing the pros and cons of each suggestion is helpful. If I see something I can pass up the line, I will, so keep the ideas coming.

Once again if you don't agree with me you are a botter. The blind hate for anyone who disagrees with you in any way ever is amazing. Any good idea of how to stop botters would be supported immediately but all we have seen so far is ideas not fully thought out. Every one has had obvious flaws and once they are pointed out so the flaws can be worked on or eliminated you jump in and instead of offering a suggestion of how to fix the idea, spew out your hatred for everyone who doesn't immediately blindly worship the idea and accuse them of being botters or worse.
I am starting to believe you are a botter who destroys every post of ideas of how to stop botters by spewing out his venom such that the threads are closed or abandoned just to avoid your hatred for anyone who dares disargee with you. There is more than one way to destroy an idea and you have done more damage to the anti botting ideas than anyone with your scorched earth tactics. No one can give an suggestion how to fix an idea or where an idea needs to be strengthened before he jumps on them and accuses them of being a botter or worse.
You have killed more anti botting ideas and threads with your venom than anyone else has with anything they have said about the problems with the ideas but that was probably your idea in the first place.
