Crash Reports

So after crash #5796 of the day i started thinking... Where exactly do all of our crash reports go? are they stock piled in the same email as our ticket system and that's why it takes so long to get things answered, or are they submitted to file 13? Just a random thought. I'd think if runewaker ACTUALLY got a crashreport everytime a player's game crashed, they might get annoyed and, ya know, actually fix it. I can just imagine how many thousands of crash reports they'd get during siege... *mother of god* It was that reasoning that lead me to believe that the message we get telling us our crash report was sent to runewaker was just a troll message. Guess they thought it unwise to load the troll_face.jpg every time we crashed.

Or they would just stop coming to work. It's not like they work anyways ;)

Since Ch 5 I actually ahve not crashed one time. Nor have I been unceramoniously disconnected. Something was done right because I used to crash out or get dconned 2 or 3 times a session.

The crash reports go into a database counter, when the database reaches a certain threshold, Thanos is given a free toaster for a job well done! (If you don't know who Thano's is, then you don't read Marvel Comics).

Maybe since botters don't seem to get in trouble, we should make a script to send a report every 5 minutes to fill that threshold counter up enough to where some of the problems are fixed :P

I have crashed twice today on the course of terror minigame costing me 2 proofs of myth. I could have earned them, now I will have to spend diamonds to get them. this is not right.

Way to necro a thread almost a yr old. Check the dates on the postings before you revive a dead thread.

If it is still going on .. then it should not be a dead thread..

That may be, but the previous post before it was revived was from Jun 2012. No other posts on that thread until today qualifies it as dead.

Seems pretty alive and well, the thread was just on vacation for a bit. Now it's back and people are still crashing as much as ever. Welcome back thread, how have things been?

If the topic of the thread is still viable, it is not technically a necro. More of a revival. Like Jesus.

Somehow I remember reading somewhere that necrophilia is kind of dangerous...

With help of memory clear I crash rarely, even after moving trough 7-8 different zones...

wait, people actually send the crash reports?

for me it just makes the game unable to load for a good 10 minutes...

We can now say this thread has more posts in May 2013 than it did for all of last year. Congrats we made it more relevant than it originally was!

And yeah, sending the crash report always made it take longer for the client to load back up for me too. Figured it was punishment for snitching.

Same thing happens to me. It seems that the crash reporter crashes too, and I end up forcing an end process tree in order to get the client to load again.

Always found it odd that they use the same server/connection you just crashed out of for reporting said crash
