In Game Music or Out of Game Music?

Personally I don't like listening to music in a game so I mute all the sounds all the time, get my Ipod and put Pandora on along with Youtube for certain songs I want to listen to at certain times.
What do you prefer while you play? If you choice out of game music what genre if I may ask? I'm kind of tired of the same songs being played again and again on Pandora lol :)

I like listening to K-pop and J-rock mostly but from time to time I miss knowing what they are saying so I go back to listening in english lol

Depends what im doing. Dailies, mini's and normal questing very rarely do i listen to anything. Instances and Siege i tend to listen to Metallica, A7X, Slipknot and other heavy metal. Gotta get the blood pumping for all those intense moments.

Personally, I listen to Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter Audio books or other audio books.\
It really makes the daily grinding pass rather quickly.
Might be something to look into.
Anyone have any Audio books they like?

For Instances I just listen to whatever I was listening to before then, Siege I tend to listen to heavy metal for the same reason

I have never found a band that does symphonic metal and so I've never heard of it before x.x I'll listen to it next chance I get though ^-^

I'll try to listen to the bands listed and maybe find a book or two soon :)

I actually found out the file names of all the music in game

you can actually make the music folder that usually loads in game and load whatever music you wish before it loads off the fdb. All you gotta do is just rename what songs you want to play where :3
I'm pretty sure it's ok to do so because I'm not actually changing any files. (and I've asked GM's a bunch of times)

C:\Program Files (x86)\Runes of Magic\music\rom\rom05_prophecy.mp3
*this is the opening theme*


I use some of the metal battle themes from FF:CC for siege, justice league theme at title lol
some techno around the various zones
also totally on the symphonic metal


*edit- anyone PM me if you can't figure out the file names

I love listening to punk, rock, screamo, metalcore...if I feel like checking out new music I'll go to iheartradio just to see what they match my music preferences with.

For normal questing, minis, dalies I listen to a mixture of country (George Strait, Jason Alden,Brad Paisly, etc.) and alternitve rock (nickleback and 3 doors down mainly) and some old rock as well (def leapord, styx,And some others). For SW and instances bascily the same thing, except I mix in more of the heavier rock and take out some of the softer country.

As some stuff is boring in game, I would watch some show on other screen while playing, mostly disabled music, but left effects from the game. Sometimes I do listen to music while playing, but not very often.

Ahhh, there was times when I would listen to our guild talk... now that was rated M show. :D

I didn't even mind Silverfall... I personally love almost every single piece of music in this game. Diabolus nearly drove me nuts due to its being extremely overused (ugh... CoO and Xaviera both have that music almost everywhere... *facepalm*), but I still don't mind hearing it every once in a while. Same thing with "aro_ice_cake" (The other, unique Xaviera day music). It soundsd AWESOME when I first heard it in the ruins, but in the end it drove me CRAZY.

Again, beside those pieces, I love pretty much every piece of music ingame, so there's no way I'm muting... Unless, of course, I'm doing dailies, which I don't even bother to do much anyway.
Ithiriz(Osha M/R/W 50/30/25), Saerimuus (Osha Wd/D 12/1), and some other Elf, Osha D/S 13/10, not to mention a few random characters on random servers that I made but that you probably won't ever see.
