Tomorrow's maintenance (11/20/2012)

I know maintenance usually is not done for pple who see these forum topics, anw in advance could in advance foward these for developers so they can fix at least these things a bit quicker:

-Siege time, please put the way it was. I play here for 8 months and siege time was fine to me. Regardless my time zone is pretty messed up due daylight saving, I'm receiving some complains about a few players (less thena 15 years), that their parents won't allow to be up that late.

-Quest [Study Kulech Mymex], never seen a bone
-Quest [Dignity for the Fallen], was able to pick the quest, kill the runnaway Kulech but wasn't able to deliver the quest, it shows up on minimap but won't show on npc. Npc is also not clickable. I tried to abbandon quest last time and now I'm not able to pick the quest again even in minimap shows me an avaiable quest there on NPC Evan Write
-could u please put at least magic perfume (7 days) on IS?

If anyone have something to add please do so, these are atm my needs ingame. Thanks for reading.

Mukalael, the SW times are as they were before the time zone changes, as I posted here:

http://forum.us.runesofmagic.com/showthr…ll=1#post577356. As long as you adjusted your time in your zone as well, sw times are back to what they were before.

As for broken quests, these require bug fixes and thus a patch and can not be fixed during a regular maintenance. If you can not retake a quest due to a missing quest item that you accidentally deleted, our support can assist in most of these cases. For all other bugs preventing quests to complete we need to wait until RW has come up with a bug fix and this sometimes requires time.

IS sales offers are not related to maintenance but I gladly forward that you would like to see the perfumes again in a coming sale.

I think the point with the quests is that we are approaching 8 weeks with quest issues and there has not been an iota of a response other than "well, that is the developers problem"
A real sysadmin knows how to change the time.
If you make the same mistake while trying to make up for the previous one, you are doing something wrong.

As much as I'd love to say I offer consulting services, the scope of things broken is too large.

Au contraire, bugged quests are a total annoyance for all our players, especially when they are needed to progress in quest lines. We as publisher want to get these bugs fixed just as much as you do as they disrupt the playability of the game. The developer wants to get the bugs fixed just as much as we all do, but to be able to fix a bug, the source and reason needs to be found after verifying the bug is reproduce-able and then the fix needs to be developed and implemented. And while we all wish for the bugs to be fixed asap, some of these buggers require a time-consuming investigation and bug fix development. Others simply can not be reproduced. Once we have bug fixes available, patches will implement them into the game. A regular maintenance though can not fix bugs in most cases.

I think the most irritating part about this is the fact that these "Developers" are not seen nor heard. So when something does not get fixed for months at a time, we as clients feel as though we are getting ignored and our issues are being swept under the rug. Most of us are sinking our money into this company, we are not investing our money or expecting any tangible item in return. But we do expect that the product works properly and when something does not work, it should be addressed expediently. Promising us that the developers are working on it, does not exactly put us at ease. What I would like to see is the developer have some kind of blog that details when the bug will be worked on. This company needs transparency, most of us wonder why items are priced the way that they are. When you tell us that something is 30% off, where do we find the regular price?, what determines the regular price? Although we play in a fantasy game, my cash is not fantasy. Treat us like investors, because when our money goes away, you guys go away.

And to build upon this for Dio. I never said we did not get a response, we just never got one saying ANYTHING of pertinent information regarding it. There are very vital things about this that reek of negligence including the localization issue when it first came out. Study Kulech Corpses and the Kulech Destroyer quest issues could have easily been found if 2 people went through the chain on a single channel. We understand that you are just a publisher and that you are incapable of creating and fixing the game yourself. But there has been no offer to any type of solution. I have made multiple suggestions (of things you are known to be capable of) to help appease the players but those have apparently fallen on deaf ears. And the fact that runewaker has been EXTREMELY consistent in these massive content releases with at least one chain quest completely broken. Autopsy? Catching Fleas? Boiling Water? and now the Kulech. I believe Autopsy was given a temporary fix until it was properly fixed, Catching Fleas was fixed by patch and Boiling water was "fixed" to autocomplete within a couple weeks of it being discovered (and is still this way). The Kulech? This is more than just a couple weeks and there is a CHANCE that it could be fixed next week with the "november" content patch that just barely manages to be in november.

With the maint they completely removed access to the drill ground...i guess it was to stop this whole drill ground honor crap which is basically destroying whole servers...but wouldn't it have been a lot smarter to force a server reset as SOON as this bug was found?...Piss of a few players v's destroy a server..i know which option I would have gone for.
