How you get both is from the new Ystra instance, from central varanas by the Christmas tree you'll find a guy to port you there, the rule of that place is that your body loses heat every second and if your not near a heat source for 30 seconds you'll freeze and either A) have someone unfreeze you or B) wait 30 seconds and be ported back to the beginning.
To get the zodiac stuff you have to make it to the very TOP of the tower and open the huge chest up there.
Youll get 15 elements + a random item each time. 1 random item being the crystal
