Paz. You do realize that none of the aforementioned was in English, right?
COME SAVE ME.
I'mma download you some special sheep rule 34 stuff, mkay? Just talk me through giving you the reins of the beast and make it all better. There's free mutton for life in my offer. The party of the first part offers one leg of lamb with nylon stockings included for the provided service of doing whatever the hell you just aforementioned.
God now I am confusing myself.
Come help me, I have pr0n.

I hate you both.
Mal, my old card performed fine on low graphics and only had major issues during Dalanis mem raids. This one- has never given me as many fps as my old one and has gotten progressively worse and worse. However, Paz swears it's a driver conflict with Windows 7. So, if I'm gonna have that problem, you would too. And I can't get my old one again even if I wanted to, asus stopped making it iirc. Even if they did, it's been so long since I replaced it, I can't remember which one I had, I only remember it was a 5700 series. ATI is pretty far past that now, so why would I intentionally downgrade? This one I have is a 6770- theoretically it should be outperforming the old one. I don't have card-epeen, I just want to be able to hit mobs again. Actually, I want to look down and see "60 fps" in the bottom of my screen and be able to play on normal graphics.
Raves, the card I have has 1gb of dedicated memory which is not helping. And of course I used Paz's fps guide, which was of limited use since he wrote it for Nvidia cards. But I also used flesh-and-blood Paz, and as you can tell from his technobabble above, it sounds like he has the problem licked, I just don't have the savvy to carry out his "instructions."
Grrrr.
If I do replace it, I might just ship it to you Mal. You two deserve each other! Or, *lightbulb*, I could ship Raves to you. Heheheheheh. It's good to see you back on Raves![]()
1gig should be more than enough, as long as you have enough actual system ram to go with it. I run with a lappy that has 4giga of system ram, lag is usually bareable when i do get it. I blame my 40 or so addons for FPS drops. Removing nkxtdMacro addon really helped with my fps. Used to have 10-20 fps drop with it on everytime i casted a spell.

P.S. buy me a new laptop fan plz. mine started making loud noises when it spun and when i took it out to see if oiling the bearings would help, i brokededededed it >.<

Idk what an HDD is but nothing but the fan is broken x.x

HDD- hard disk drive is where everything on your computer is stored and there is no fan in it... and BTW if you want to run RoM with great speeds and boot your computer fast you should check out SSD it's 10times faster than HDD and doesn't cost a lot now.

usually all you need is to put a vacuum nozzle on the center of the fan housing. they develop a static charge and can build up more lint/dust/hair than seems physically possible.
here a disassemble walkthrough..if you're feeling up to it. you can probably find 100 on youtube as well
http://www.insidemylaptop.com/disassembl…-series-laptop/
just do it on a flat surface...carefully. the only thing you can really damage easily is the fine, flat cable attaching the keyboard. or u can just take a can of duster and the vacuum and try to clean it without taking it apart.
i had a laptop for work with SLI and an extreme series cpu.. had to do this weekly. was a royal pain

Nah, that is not HDD....
Raves, HDD is where you store all your pr0n collection....

im upgrading from an ati radeon hd 5750 <- may this thing burn in hell a million deaths over, to a galaxy gtx 660 (on sale <200$ on tigerdirect atm)
my old card should run the game just find even should be enough for 3 windows full detail but there's some sort of compatibility issue and if I'm on max detail I'll crash within 5 transports way less if varanas is included. The stupid card was default to idle so low it wasn't enough power to even sustain windows just on desktop <.< wtf is that? lol

5. CleanMem does help with programs that have memory leaks. The memory is pushed to the system cache, not the page file. The system cache is still in memory. And a program can call back what it needs instantly. This is why there is never a hiccup in heavy 3D games as CleanMem runs. The memory that is not reclaimed is freed and allowed to be taken over after a certain amount of time. The system cache is not a bad thing! and is far better than the page file. Mainly because it has the GB speeds in memory than the MB speeds of the hard drive.
(Warning: Memory Terminology in Windows is completely screwed. System Cache could mean something else, perhaps Memory Cache is better? as proof of this confusing way the memory has been labeled in windows, in Windows XP the PF usage in the task manager is actually commit charge, not page file usage)

Your crashes at transport have nothing to do with card, but with memory leaks. As previusly suggested, use cleanmem for that. Here is an explanation about memory leak and how cleanmem helps:
