Anything to the 0th power is 1
and the parens were added to clarify the priority, they are assumed when you do not put them.

0^0 ?

Though I suppose you could just define it as 1

But it says 2*0 and not 2^0.

Exactly. The star is the universal sign for multiplication, while the up-arrow is notation for a power.

Parenthesis are NEVER implied. Not once, in any math, in the history of ever. Either there are parents, or there are not. Period.

And yes Tayl, yes mwahahaha!

We also can't forget the 2 + 2 = 5 for sufficiently large values of 2.

Therefore, the answer is pi

There are no powers in the original equation, so why are we talking about it?

Also, to stir the pot... 1 / 0 = blue

F0r some reason, I was thinking that answer to all question was 42....

How come I am wrong??

I got confused right around that part. How did this thread switch from "are you smarter than a 5th grader" math to fatherhood uncertainty principle?

Quoted from "RoMage;600132"

Well, this just tells that my math skills are getting rusty...

Having Atar accuse his math skills of fail rogue powers didn't help any.

Naaaah, I always make sense. Well, usually. Sometimes. Once in a while.

Now, if Atar starts making any sense, then worry. And if you can follow what Gigi it talking about without large doses of chemical assistance, then you might be beyond recovery.

o.O ok, well... I have always been able to make sense of what gigi has said. Sometimes it is difficult, but the secret is you have to look at it like either a 3rd grader typed it or a cat.

I see what you did here...

BTW, in the end only I was right, it is 42.

Well, was thinking it might be 48, but that is not answer to any question except to 46 & 2.

And gigi's writing did improve, my.... not so much...
