My beloved RoMmunity,
First the short and factual info:
The time has come that I’m going to leave the Gameforge AG as well. As many of you already are aware, the decision was made to close the Berlin Office and manage all games from Karlsruhe. We were offered to move to Karlsruhe and continue our work from there. What is more efficient for the company however is not more efficient for me. With friends and family in northern Germany, as well as some other boundaries I cannot join the Karlsruhe Office and will work for another company beginning with 16th of July. My last day in the Gameforge Berlin Office will be the 3rd of July 2013.
Now you can read on, if you like. Background music: http://youtu.be/3eBroYj_Qv0.
Runes of Magic is in my life since Chapter II. With the elves Mini-Laghmara came to Taborea as well. Back then I was in regards to client-MMOs a total noob, did only play browsergames before, and on top of this I was an RPler. I have vivid memory of my first self upgraded item. I was Level 38 and with help of to ingame Fusion Stones with each two stats (the same as I read in a guide) and one purified Stones, cause I couldn’t find a third fitting one. I built the item with VIII Stamina, VII Intelligence and the yellow Wisdom Stat from the Quest in Ystra. I was so proud that I finally had understood that upgrading system (yes, you are allowed to laugh out loud here).
As time went by I understood the game better, words like Aggro, “to kite” or “pdd” were no longer unknown to me. As I always loved forums, worked in forums, build up forums, trolled in forums, MSTed a lot and simply loved to discuss with others, I was active in the Runes of Magic forums as well. That was where Quannah found me and made me a Mentor (someone remembers Mithiel?). Only two weeks later I was asked, if I wouldn’t like to start an internship in Community Management – and yes! I did take that! I wouldn’t have thought that this work will actually influence me the way working with you did. As CM Name I chose Laghmara, what is the Name of a godess in a Pen & Paper Universe called “Gardh” (D20 system, not released, private world). Her Domains are Laughter, Jugglers, Taverns, … in short: entertainment.
I’ll now go on with the corny thank you part. You can look out for your name/group or simply jump to the end.
The Team:
Silberfüchschen, you showed me the crazy in CM, spend hours discussing with me, because we both love to be right, you stood in front of your Team, roaring to anyone complaining about us, but carpeted us when we really did something wrong. Thanks for that!
Quannahlein, you got me on board, took care of me when I arrived in the office and no one was there because it was the GamesCom Week, you showed me all the tools (and how to colour reportings in 50 shades of pink). We supported each other all the time and when things went wrong, you were always by my side. Without you, I would have thrown my keyboard through the window several times for sure. Well, you are the CMommy.
Dio, even though you’re no longer part of the Team, you were part of it a long time. You taught me always to take the perspective of players and not to lay down on my own view or the company’s. We both had in common, that we are consequently honest. You have shown me how to pack up the truth in a way that does not hurt.
Neny, when you started with us as a mentor, you were an obnoxious bastard. That didn’t really change, but I guess we all took you in our hearts (well and you are less complicated nowadays). I never have to look out what I write how around you, can speak as it comes to my mind, and you never get me wrong and answer the same way. I know that I found a friend in you, that will be part of my life in the future.
Zuri
The only things I could say in polish are not appropriate to say in a forum, so I keep it to English. When you joined us, a shy and fresh CM, I doubted your ability to handle the large polish community a little. You have proven me wrong so many countless times!
All other
CMs and Moderators, I don’t want to list every single person I ever worked with here, as people are supposed to read this somehow. You were, are and will be a great Team as many others would like to have.
Mentors: The frenchies already got their extra part, because of the translation, but I’d like to thank all other Mentors. Without you the CM would lack hands and feet. You are our eyes when we can’t be around, with your indefatigability you design the forum culture and do what might fall behind in daily business. Without you the RoMmunity would be a different one.
Further I’d like to say thanks to
Yrcanos for always keeping me updated about any happening in EN community.
Of course my thanks applies for
all mentors that are no longer part of the team as well.
The Players
Now it will get a little messy, as I know some of you only from the forums, others from in game, or even just from YouTube. Let’s start with mentioning the following about all of you:
I’d like to thank all of you for the great time I had, for the fun and the sad moments we shared, for emergency night shifts where you gave me support and for trolling me.
You guys (‘n girls of course) taught me a lot and more.
You’ve shown passion about game and community alike, what made me dedicated to my job.
Actually your passion was my job and I can say without any doubt that this is nothing to be repeated easily any time soon.
Yoman: Belongs to RoM like Lags in Dalanis.
The Addon-Creators: Thanks to all of you! I love to modify my interface and as someone who is using more than 40 addons on his private account, and uses Addons to make great screenshots from single items or for Events on the job-side, I simple have to mention you here.
Guilds: Thanks to Seelentrinker, Vengeance and Apocalypse, our „Event Guilds“ who invited us to their guild events over and over again. You events were always great fun and it was a pleasure to support you with these.
Fansites/Projects: In the thank you part RoM Welten should not be missing, neither Unique Art, Radio Runes, all our YouTubers and all the other RoM fans which enriched the community with their projects. Thanks!
English & US Community:
I'm sorry that I never had the chance to get to know you in a way I got to know the german community. I already met some noteable characters amongst you and I love to be in your forums.
US-lers: First community to accept my pony-memes w/o questioning them! Love you for that!
EN-lers: Discussing with you is enhancing a CMs opinion without losing face or nerves. That was one wonderful experience.
I can’t (and dislike to) mention all players that grown dear to me in my time here.
I’ve seen players getting old (Mamagena!), I’ve seen them getting children and marry, but I’ve seen some die as well. The first death of a player that I took note of, kept me awake a long time and comes to my mind every now and then. To lose players to death is a terrible experience of which I hope that it stays a seldom guest in the RoMmunity.
I’ll miss you.
“No more words. We know them all, all the words that should not be said.
But you have made my world more perfect.”

*Please take my apologies that I didn’t translate every single line into all languages, as many english players don’t know the germans and vice versa.
P.S. as I was never "offically yours" posted in Off-Topic.
