hoping for some decent prices...

can any1 confirm the mounts on sale and prices?

Mounts on sale today, diamonds on 150% sale tomorrow. Ugh. Looks like I won't be getting a mount today. Gonna buy some diams tomorrow and get a mount eventually I guess. Should have combined both sales IMO, would have netted you way more monies. People like me for example, I would have bought enough diams to buy two mounts and bought more to just have, but now I'll only be buying enough for one normal mount but no extra to just have sitting around. Thus, this nets you less diamonds by splitting up the two sales. (Granted, each sale is great by itself, but from a pure business standpoint, why would you separate them? I don't understand how that logic came about. (Please refrain from jokes about how this is RoM and there is no logic, this is purely from the GF sales team and not runewaker.))

Mount sale is regular Wednesday sale. Prices are minor discounts, all that you have is availability of mounts that are not normally available*. It is not a mass audience sale, it is a collector sale.

Dia sale is not a promotion for Wednesday sale, it is either seasonal "Christmas, so lets give bigger discount" dia sale, or ,fingers crossed, they have something more interesting planned for the weekend. Hard to say after generally meh weekends.



* Wednesday sales actually been a lot more creative and varied than the weekend sales. I wonder why.

While I understand what you are saying, it still makes no business sense to have the sales done in this manner on freaking Christmas!

Also, to note, I got a Flying Rune Disk mount as a gift from a guildie (if they want to admit to being nice to me in public, I leave that to them lol) which in turn means that I am going to be spending a little more than I had planned to be able to pay them back tomorrow. GF is benefiting from another player being in a better Christmas spirit than they are.

Anyways, like I said, the sale is good, but could have been better planned out. The planning is where it has failed this time. It is Christmas day, and should have been way more oomph put into it.

Lol... This just confirms old axiom from my math class that said "At any given time there are more horse's <censored> in the world that there are horses".

Wolfie, yeah, we had no Christmas sale this time, same as we didn't last year. We did have seasonal sales and discounts, but nothing that said "on the very day of the holiday, make special promos". Not really good, considering that as holidays go, Christmas is THE most universally celebrated* one in all ROM markets.

But it is what it is. And if we had special uber sale, I bet we would have people saying that this is a day when they are not in game and spending it with their families instead, so putting it when many players are not in game is a fail plan.




* Russian might be the exception for Christmas, but Russian ROM is not run by GF.

I might be speaking a bit too soon here, but we still have about a week left until New Year's Day. I literally have no information on what the offers will be this weekend and the days following, but it does seem that my semi-prediction about a DRT sale has been proved to be accurate.

Let's wait and see what else rolls around.
