5% is pretty bad. 10% would be reasonable. Hope it is just a bad luck streak. But guildie just went 0/23. :( Ack.

Most of stuff in chests is meh. Dirty blues, who cares? Mats, nice but not worth the key cost. Minor IS stuff (megas, HSH, etc) but that comes from free chests too. Besides 3x L92 purple weapons, all I got 2 Rank 1 X runes. Better than Rank 0 runes from free chests, but meh... Purples only real items of value.

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.

rom-welten not have the loot tables for the chests?

if not, is it something worth poking yoman about?

that being said, it might be another case of RW's moronic loot tables in tables setup, and that might be the reason no loot table.

if you mean % to go to this table of items then items within have their own % within it, I believe that isn't too uncommon in some cases
and if this is the case it's likely split between IS items/runes/blues(or gear in general having purples within this instead of separated)/ammo/materials

Well got 2 purple out of 20 chest XX yesterday and today 0/40 but it might have to do with the weather we have here today.

when I was talking to yoman, he mentioned that some of the tables in tables go stupid deep (15 embeds was the worst iirc, could be wrong), and for crap loot its just not worth it, hence why rom-welten occasionally only goes as far as the purples/blues and their stats.

I'll have to poke him about it anyways, as I am curious myself.

update: talked to yoman, got the drop tables for the lvl 20 ancient chest.

12.5% chance to get a lvl 92 blue with a bag stat.
5% chance for a t10 rank1 rune (one of 11).
2.5% chance for a lvl 92 purple (one of 10) (normal mode weapons with normal mode stats).

loot buffs will /not/ work on the chests AFAIK.

Thanks Cike and Yoman. Unfortunately, 2.5% (seems like I was lucky if I got 10%) makes the chests totally not worth it. Oh, well.

the free chests from rounds 19/20 have a 5% chance for one of the 11 rank0 runes.

the locked chests from rounds 19/20 have a 5% chance for one of the 11 new(ish) single stat rank1 runes (added ch4, all have an identical stat to a rank0 rune, but slightly better value).

@ 2.5% you are paying 240 dias per PULL on average (with keys being 6 dias each on sale). thats not even per /good/ stat. thats per /pull/.

bag stats are better, at an average of 48 dias each, but it's still per pull, for a freaking bag stat.

Well you can do special events, use your p-tokens to get keys and last resort diamonds to get keys and also get keys from the chests in TH also from small chests. But it requires time or money, pick and chose which is your desire :cookie:

No matter what we get, people always find something to complain about instead of saying tyvm, then wonder we can't have nice things.

i never said the change wasn't nice. i am merely replying to the fact that people think that the chests would be a worthwhile source of stats.

if you get free keys, should you open the chests? absolutely.

should you go out and buy keys (ptokens or dias)? i'd suggest not.

each key is 120 ptokens, or 9 dias not on sale. thats a steep price for a 15% chance of getting one of a huge pool of (mostly crap) stats.

Personally, I always like to know the percentage chance of things to figure out if something is worthwhile. I believe what Cike and Mythomage were talking about earlier is quite interesting, and my views were the same. :)

I'm actually aiming for the runes so I can make some higher level stuff. We cleared again tonight on Reni. As long as you participate in the downing of mobs it's a pleasant free-for-all with the chests. You can bring lowbies in and have them loot chests but they definitely need to be careful of the mobs and elite. It seems pretty easy to pick up aggro.

I wanted to say, we recently ran this with almost 5 end people, a tank, a heal and 3 dps (2mage,1rogue)

and got to round 20, and even tho we barely made it there, it is do'able without a fullraid
