I like festivals in general, but agree that some should be vastly improved and could not agree more about the bugs which seem to pop up every year with the same ones.

Almost all of your points are valid to you personally: Some I agree with, some I do not. If you could "care less is people agree or not" why post in the public forum? With more of your thoughts being con as opposed to being pro, why play Runes of Magic? There are other games that are far less buggie, have simpler monetary systems, and have no festivals. Choose one of them. I play this game--mem leaks, crashing, lagginess and all. It has been there since I started and those things have remained constant.
Diamonds: Should have NEVER have been allowed to be put in AH. When I started playing, diamonds bought with Runes of magic cards were the only unbound diamonds available. Those bought with credit cards were bound anywhere from 24-72 hours and were released in stages. You could still gift with the unbound ones, but the bound remained for personal use only until they in turn were unbound. The purchase of diamonds from the website is what funds the paychecks of those who program and or fix the game.No purchases, no paycheck therefore, no desire to fix or correct the game for free. I don't work for free, why should they? Sales on the website should not have become the "norm". An occasional 130. 40 or 50% SALE as a bonus was fine.
Phirrus tokens: Number received should have been increased long ago and every thing in the diamond shop should have been included in the token shop. Tokens per days worth of dailys should have been 1k.
Item shop: WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. Most item prices should be cut by at least 50%. Some items a re a good deal as is.
As for the alt buffs, I completely agree and have complained before but now I simply don't care.
I applaud you for taking the time to show that you really care about ROM, as do most of us that are still around. For some reason we all seem to keep hoping and hoping that someone over there would suddenly start caring about this game even though all the evidence so clearly shows that they don't. Anyway, the one area where I absolutely 100% disagree with you is an open source code. The potential for abuse is far greater than any good you can do helping to fix programming issues. I just don't trust other people like you do, and I think I'm more right than you are in this case.

That was in a different thread, I in no way mentioned it here. Also everyone in that thread ignored my call in the beginning to make it hypothetical. Its an imaginary world where people wouldn't abuse it. But in any case I could think of hundreds of things that would guarantee no abuse. If you want comment in more detail over in that thread. But keep the 2 separate.
Sort of transitioning between 1 and 2, some programmers/coders have offered to help GF out, since they are local to the U.S. and we have since applied for position in the GM ranks. All attempts to help out directly with the source code have been denied, even here is what is wrong, and why, at least to my knowledge. RW apparently either thinks they are competent enough to handle the bugs alone, or simply despise us as a community. So us being programmers we have taken it into our own hands to try to fix what we could. Or at least make the game better/easier. The main way this was done was through add-ons. We could make the world maps easier to look at through WOWMAPS. We could change your buff bars, or even the whole UI, through XBAR III and the like. We could auto trade merits in siege using GSQT. We could allow you to not have to think about where you were in your skill rotation via DIYCE or its numerous children. We have a super in-detail add on quest helper that practically tells you everything about the quests in game. And we have Scrutinizer to measure average DPS. We even have an add on that tried to fix the EoJ timer, and help out with siege made by StoneForge. The main issue is we as the coders of the community want to make RoM better but we can’t. Even through the model folder technique. We simply can’t do it, legally that is. And it’s sad because we have it the worst in the community. Knowing we could fix RoM, and we even offered to fix RoM. But we were rejected. We were told leave it alone, or even to go away. And the knowledge that we could have fixed RoM makes it so much worse.
But seriously, these are all issues that everyone's complained about since forever and we have sometimes multipage threads for the various topics and it's best to discuss each one separately. You can't really keep a thread focussed when you brainstorm every issue A-Z into one post. Of course you're free to vent like everyone else.

I am making this for people to read, think what you want. I could care less if you agree with me or not. Hell, either way don’t post that. This is food for thought. A summary of how I see the game. If you are going to post, let the content sit for a while. Think about these topics.

RoM was something that was always weird or broken. That we simply couldn’t fix. For most of you, you can take the cheap excuse… “Not me… I couldn’t be involved, or responsible.”

Well guess what, you played this game, you owe it to the game, to the community and yourself to make it better. All day ever day, all I see is greedy endgamers. On every server. With no regard to anyone but themselves.
The community is 50% responsible for the low population, when can someone get on a run to get set skills? get quests done in hardmode? etc that would be endgamers guild responsability to help with that, Gameforge has nothing to do with this. Disturbed with friends in other guilds have helped people to get the 65/70 set skills for a lot people on Reni. We are not endgame but we do it the community as a whole and better the server, some just don't get that and it's all about : What do i gain to do this? You sure do blame the community for a lot of ROM's problems, if nothing else its the community that has kept this game alive for this long. Sure there are the negative nancys and the server hopping trolls that love to embarrass themselves but there are also a lot of friendly, helpful people.
It is the players responsability to let other players know about how to get the most out of the events, we did on Reni. I use my own megaphones to world shout events, XP/TP weekends/diamonds sales etc as many others also do on Reni. I put my 18 alts for the fairytale festival for people to get their titles everyday, TO HELP OTHERS!!!!! I farm EOJ'S 6/8 hours a day when i can and mainly give the stats away to guildies and friends in other guilds. BTW got 5 bad EOJ pulls out of 105 pulls, i say it's pretty decent. And why should F2P get more incentive then other players? then i want an incentive for diamond buyers to get 20 poms/per 100$ spend when purchased, i'd be good with that since i support keeping the servers paid for.Time is money.... people that have spent hours farming EOJ's/Shells/Mento's should get something more for all their effort. The chance at a crap stat should be rare, give the free to play player some incentive. The pom event was great but not everyone knew to take advantage of it. Some people will say, oh that's their problem or its up to their guild to tell them. I am talking about the smaller guilds that stick to themselves, they hardly venture outside of their circle. There should be a server wide message announcing new events and contests to help the FTP player advance.
Group sales are a way of controlling the market and how F2P can remain that way too, but i guess seeing a lot of them trading 85+ gear to get diamonds could mean they are running low on gold. Since none of the 100M plus pieces sell and hasn't for months now.Seriously though I expect people to want to PUG again. We have met some great people during horrendously laggy sieges, and even vent and server hopped to get to know them better. The reason HM items were so expensive were the group sales, I never understood the reasoning behind it. Just let the person that wins it on a pass have it or agree to give it to someone in guild who could not participate in the run.
Agreed on thisThe only real issue I have with ROM is the plussing jewels! They are way too expensive to fail so often, but its not even the failing that is the issue, you shouldnt have to spend $20 just to have stop at +3. Its absolutely rediculous! NERD RAGE!!!! Okay that is all
