advertising other games on RoM

Events Crosspromo - HEX: Shards of Fate!?


Is this no longer a bannable offense?

And, as the title says.."Cross-promo" How come RoM is not advertised on the HEX: Shards of Fate! forums. Don't you think they would like to play this one?

As both games are published and operated by Gameforge, the forums are theirs to promote games as they see fit. If there was a RoM promo, it would be advertised elsewhere as well.

Its just advertisment for Gameforges other products. Something probably got lost in translation for Gameforge in that cross-promo usually means there is SOME type of "reward" for both ends of the promo. not just HEY check out our other games!

Events usually entail something happening, like get an item code for signing up for this, which Gameforge has done in the past as well
A real sysadmin knows how to change the time.
If you make the same mistake while trying to make up for the previous one, you are doing something wrong.

As much as I'd love to say I offer consulting services, the scope of things broken is too large.

Well whoever is in charge of this PROMOTION is bad at his/her job, for years ROM players have been asking for promos, ads some type of advertisement. This looks like they want to rub it in our face type of deal, sad that it has come to this Gameforge. Should probably be hiring people who actually know how to do promos and not just making the community mad as hell, i sure am and very disappointed. :grumble: :dash: :missilelauncher: :minigun:

It'd be nice, but everyone knows it's the long time players not new ones (on RoM) funding Gameforge.

Every new player realizes what a joke the item shop prices/dollar to dia prices are and bails long before Gameforge can print any major cash off of them.

Not saying it's a good thing or healthy thing for the game, but it is what it is.

Wow just Wow. We have been asking for year's for advertising for Runes of Magic and today when I saw another game on Runes of Magic login page first thing I thought of was... are you serious? To me this is Gameforge trying to get Runes of Magic players to leave Runes of magic for a different game. This is so not cool especially since talking of other games in world chat or forums is a big no no. I am Totally disappointed. I am one of the guilty person's who keep spending money on this game even though a lot of things still piss me off about the way things are handled. Well grat's Gameforge this was the thing that pushed me to point of becoming free to play I wont invest anymore rl money to a game that the publishers are purposely trying to pull players away from. :mad: Holy Cow! I just saw this Events Crosspromo - HEX: Shards of Fate!= so had to come back and add this: You all at Gameforge are wacked, I hope I never see anyone on forum's get in trouble again or in game for that matter for talking about a different game cause that will be the day I uninstall this money pit and move on and never look back. You gave us a merge and we was thankful and happy about that but doing this just totally killed all the good you did cause by doing this its like you are trying to take away the added peeps on servers we got after the merge. :thumbdown: :wacko: First time I posted here I was just mad at the login advertisement didn't realize was a whole page dedicated to that game on Rune's of Magic forums. Once I saw that I had to come back.

Kinda Ironic they ban people for afking in AA or whatever the reason was, not real sure on the reason. And now all of a sudden they posting another game on the login page and forums. Pretty sure those who are banned can see both those places just fine. Couple things:

1. Hex is a trading card game, not another mmorpg. Hardly a competing product. Those who are into card games might be interested to a degree but if they were THAT into those type of games then they would already be playing them wouldn't they?

2. People have been asking for RoM to advertise for awhile now that is true. That said, advertising would still be a horrible idea. What are they supposed to advertise exactly? Broken pay-to-win game looking for people who prefer broken instances, unregulated economies and a game speed that makes a turtle look like a Ferrari? It would just be a waste of money and a waste of time IMHO until there is a clear indication that issues are actively being resolved.

Finally, how is anyone really surprised by this? Seriously. Nothing has been done since the server mergers to address the issues that made merging necessary in the first place. RoM is still losing players, issues are not getting fixed or if they are they are taking a very long time to do so. Let's face it, RoM is what it is now and all indications are that it will continue this way until the doors finally close. Just enjoy it for what it is or move on already.

Why do people still complain about getting ban?? if you got ban for botting AA i hope you've been permaban, don't think for one second the GM team doesn't know how people do it and what website you get macros and info how to. You sound like a broken record and blame others for your own doings. Stop botting and you won't get ban, do you need a bailiff to deliver you a copy of the TOS and read it to you?

For the record I was not banned for doing AA,in fact I have never did AA since they changed it, because I have no desire to play and win and still get loser rewards because the loosing team gets a auto win. Maybe you shouldn't just assume something. And while you at that maybe pay closer attention to what you are reading because all I said about the peeps that got banned was they now have a new game they can try thanks to gameforge linking the post about the other gameforge game on the forums. I am not banned for anything I have no problem logging in lol.
