What a heck of a game, eh? I wonder what Rizzo is going to do with the final out ball that he stuffed in his back pocket right after the game winning out?

For those that do not know (and how could you not) the Chicago Cubs were playing against the Cleveland Indians in Game 7 of the World Series last night and won in 10 innings after a rain delay 8-7 after being up 5-1 after the 5th inning. The Chicago Cubs were down 3 games to 1 on the way back to Cleveland and won the last 3 games away to clinch. The last time the Chicago Cubs won the world series was in 1908, breaking the longest Championship drought in all of United States professional sports.

Minor correction for my boss:

The Cubs won Game 2 in Cleveland, won Game 5 in Chicago, then won Games 6 and 7 in Cleveland. They are the 3rd team to win the WS in 7 games while being behind 3-1.

I think Rizzo will eventually turn the game-winning ball over to the Baseball Hall of Fame.

T'was a great game, though I think Joe Maddon (Cubs' manager) made several questionable moves during the game, moves that made it more difficult to win it.

Yep and now for another 108 years stretch before they win again loll. I really thought the Indians would have win it after they came back at 6-6, but they still give it their best.
