Ull AKA Uller was the god of winter, death, skiing, the chase, overall combat, archery, hunting and
trapping, and snowshoes (of all things). He represents the northern winter and spends them hunting
with Skade, and the summers in Helheim with Hel. It is said that he must spend time with Hel so that Odin
can run the weather while he is gone (summer). Ull's name actually means glorious and was used in the
naming of many places. Becuase of this, it was thought that he may have been a major god in earlier
times.
Odin and the fellow gods witnessed Ull commit a serious offense. He slain his very brother! But before
Ull was given a chance to explain or justify himself, Odin and the others banished him, forever ripping his
immortal soul from his icy shell of a body. Before he wa sent to the netherworld, Ull vowed to get
revenge on his brethren for betraying him. No matter the costs.
It was this legend that defined the norse way of life. You see, Ull was the only god or person in their
culture to have black hair. When a child with black hair was born, they feared that Ull was within them.
So, they murdered their newborn children. In fear that he may rise yet again and strike havok among the
people and the gods.
Fraust happened to be one of these unfortunate children born with black hair. However, Fraust's father
Gethsmane, could not bring himself to murder his newborn son. Therefore he took his son, and they fled
the country of Skyrim to south of the border. Through many days of travel on foot and boat, they
eventually reached the country of Candara.
By now word of them fleeing the country of Skyrim had reached home and Odin as well as the other
gods were extremely upset. After tedious thinking, they released a warrior from an icy prison sentenced
from Ull himself. His name was Meltankos. During his time there he grew extremely resistant to the cold
and was able to manipulate ice into weapons and etc. In exchange for hunting down and killing both
Fraust and Gethsmane, Meltankos would be granted his freedom and take his place by the gods in Ull's
seat.
During Fraust's early years as a child, Gethsmane began to notice some strange changes in his son. Not
only did he have what seemed like possessive tantrums, rambling stuff unknown to his father, but he
was always cold to the touch, had pale blue almost hypothermically tinged skin with a white film over his
eyes as if blind, but he was not. On top of all this, his physical capabilities grew faster than any other
child of his age. It was then that Gethsmane knew for a fact that his son has the spirit of Ull residing
within him.
Gethsmane set forth in a different direction now. No longer running from civilization, but seeking help
for his son, for he fear the worse may happen soon if nothing is done. Through timeless days of travel,
they came upon an elven village, where they were nearly killed at the entrance for trespassing.
Gethsmane had begged for mercy and stated that he nor his son meant any harm to their people. That
they seek assistance with a deity from within his son and it was killing him. The elven elder saw
compassion in Gethsmane's eyes, and granted them pass within the village.
During the first hours of their stay within the village, Fraust was sent with the elven children, while
Gethsmane spoke with the elven elder, explaining everything that had happened to them since Fraust's
birth, including that the ice god Ull was dwelling from within him. After a few moments, The elder stated
that the village cleric named Boreanan, will help to drive out the spirit that lives within the boy. For
several hours throughout the night, all could hear Fraust's screams and shouts as well as the cleric's
cantations. This continued for nearly 3 days. When Boreanan finally exited the room, he stated he was
unable to drive the spirit from Fraust for it had been in him to long, and had grown to strong that even
the elves could not drive it out.
But, hope was not lost. Boreanan was able to place a bind on Ull, rendering his effects to Fraust nearly
gone entirely. However, this was not intended to be permanent, but to hold them off possibly till they
could find a better solution. By this time, the villagers had grown fond of Fraust and his father, and
granted them sanctuary as a member of their village. They lived here with the elves for several years,
training on the outside of the woodlands.
As you know, all good things must, come to an end. Fraust and his father were training together on what
seemed just another ordinary day when the fiend Meltankos finally reached them. Gethsmane
instinctively took stand against the warrior. After a vicious battle, Fraust had witnessed his father being
brutally slaughtered. In a state of shock, Fraust was unable to fend for himself against Meltankos, who
was now heading his way.
All of the elven people know when a spirit returns to the earth and they took guard. One in particular
was the head warden of the clan, named Kreitan. He nearly flew out to the village to assist whom he
knew was in danger. Kreitan then casts Banishment onto Fraust to protect him from harm. He also
summoned his Spirit of The Oak to cast entangle on Meltankos to bide them some time to flee back to
the elven village where he was sure they'd be safe. Upon returning to the village and locking it down to
stand guard, Meltankos tried his best to penetrate the walls of the fortress, but he alone was no match
for the protection of the elven gods and goddesses. He eventually gave up and fled southward beyond
sight.
When all was calm, Kreitan was not. In fact, he was outraged. The village now sees Fraust as an
endangerment to them and wish to exile him for their protection. Kreitan would not stand for this. He
insisted that they must exile him as well, so that he may protect the poor child. Fraust was around 12
years of age at this time. So that they did. Kreitan and Fraust were forced out of the home to fend in
the wild alone with one another. At first, Fraust was still Traumatized from witnessing his father's brutal
death. He still may have not healed entirely from it neither. But he did eventually open up to Kreitan
and allowed himself to grow closer to this new father figure he has earned.
Several years had passed, and Kreitan had tought Fraust everything that he knows. But one day, he
called up Fraust and gave him his signia, the most precious gift ever to be given from an elf. Kreitan lost
all his elven powers and abilities. However Fraust became a full fledged Warden, with all the additional
abilities and skills. His appearance changed as well. This is how he got his unusual skin markings, as well
as the common elf pointed ears. A few months after this Kreitan was contacted by their original village.
They stated the humans have called upon them for assistance, and asked him to come assist them in
doing so. Although Kreitan has no abilities, he still has his expert knowledge of the battlefield he had
earned over the years. For his services, Kreitan was promised a spot home for both him and Fraust. So,
Kreitan had left Fraust to be on his own and to live his life as he need be. Fraust was at around the age
of 17.
Eventually on Fraust's adventures alone into the world of Taborea, he came along a very attractive
Human scout named Rhia. She was 24 when the two had first met. They bartered with each other as well
as traded stories. The two would often cross paths so much that they eventually decided to travel with
one another. Rhia had more of what you would say a stuck up attitude, constantly smarting off to
Fraust, and always trying to outdo him, even in sarcasm. Although this did not halter Fraust's feelings
for her, as he had fallen in love with this lady as she did eventually with him as well.
Yet again, Fraust was plagued with his past. Meltankos had came along to the both of them. As before,
Fraust companion felt in heed to protect him always. Rhia fought with Meltankos. And she had did give
him a run for his money. Unfortunately she was merely a human, and he eventually overpowered her.
Fraust seeing the love of his life take a severe beating, he loses it. He takes on a more ice lined form as
Ull is now in control of him. Fraust and Ull had stricken Meltankos with a fear that comes on a level that
only a god could understand. Not to mention a severe beating and near deathtoll along with it. Fraust
was ravaged and out of control. Without his knowing, Fraust had also slain his lover Rhia. But, he does
not know yet that it was him that done the slaying personally. Rhia was the person who provided Fraust
with all his scout abilities and skills.
Present day, Fraust is 20 years of age and is seemingly fighting a losing battle between him and the
deity within him. Although, it is through this duality that gives him an advantage on his opponents. He
now spends his time living casually alone, searching the land for someone or something that can help
him in his battle against Ull. Will he ever succeed?
