I would definitely like to see a Vampyr, Undead, Viking or a Werewolf as a playable race. lol what about a Sasquatch? Golem? Maybe something like a ghost/phantom? I would like to see a Necromancer as a class as well.

Betsworth I couldn't say I'd get mad if the next playable race was like Warcraft in any way. I mean cmon now. We have Humans and Elves so far.. hint hint. It doesn't matter what it is really as long as it fits RoM like a glove.

I don't care if the next playable race looks like Orcs, Trolls, Goblins, Dranei, Dwarves, or Tauren.. just change it up a bit, give it a new name, and make it look slightly different.

That's what every developer does. I can't say it's wrong to do either. All you need is an idea and then evolve it.

I'd have to agree: I wouldn't mind if they resembled the WoW characters. I mean honestly, they looked kinda cool. Wouldn't mind the Vampyr or the werewolf idea either. Random thought: Why not make a strictly beast race? Or a shifter race?

A class not popular among modern mmo's is the demonic. Demons would be a very exiting addition to the game, mainly becouse ROM would be the only Modern game featuring the race.

Im not talking about the big, huge, demon. The demon would look simaler to humans, but would have a redish tint to his skin. Of course, he would have horns that would grow as you level.

Ill be back at 12:00-3:00 to finish this. Im like 3 paragraphs of from being done. >.>

You had my interest so I waited.. and waited.

Anyhow, I like the idea but just don't know if it's right for RoM and if Demons would tie-in to the world or lore. Of course, with a little creativity we know that anything is possible. The label "Demon" to me seems to be a broad term, maybe we can trim it down and introduce two races that are demonic, each with their own back story. I know it's a longshot but why the hell not right? Talking about these things is always fun.

Let's say one race is called "Dreadlings". Let's also say their stature ranges from typical dwarven-kind to a small human. Obviously with the demonic visual characterizations but you get the idea. Those would be introduced first and then possibly introduce a second demonic race and call it... any ideas?

i like a centaur race, a touren race, and a minitor race. all classics in the MMO scene. a wargen race would be nice ( like wearwolfs, but no human form )

Tis a normal and overused race but....dark elves >_> idk make some lore up about how they were morphed by runes like the "Demons" were but are now fighting alongside our adventurers. I just want to be a black skinned elf D':

i only read the first 6 pages but im just glad the words half-elf werent suggested. My suggestion? Hmm how about a dragonoid race or something they could be like humans but with some characteristics of dragons like their eyes and they have some scales (could function they same way those tattoo like things on elves do were they appear only if there A. isnt any equiptment in the spot the tattoo is or B. the equiptment is hidden) and you could have a few other diffrences to nothing major but enough were you can tell the diffrence from a distance kind of like elves as with the elves there arent any HUGE diffrences but you can still go "yup no doubting it they are an elf"

I agree that it'd be cool to have a race really unique to mmo's, you have to be careful too. Werewolves come to mind. It'd be wicked cool to play a werewolf, but think about it, how do you keep what makes a werewolf cool, without making it way overpowered?

well one way to balance out the werewolves would be to limit them to only being able to wear cloth armor (limit by race not class) and maybe lowering their natural defenses a bit to compensate for what would HAVE TO be a great advantage in attack ability physically (added str) and enhanced reactions/reflexes (dex increase?) while also making it more difficult to play a caster class or magic user of some sort due to the natural inclination of the species to be more physically dominant while not being all too bright (stat gains by lvl like high str/dex/stam and VERY low wis/int)

just a thought.
