considering 4 active guilds have 9k or more, and the rest are 4k or less, it's not surprising you're facing guilds with more points if you're in the top 10-15.

It happens.

Just the other week a 2k point guild got slapped against Pandemic (14k).

Last night we, with 9k, were put against a 1.9k.

The way I see it, the top 15 are just randomly pitted against eachother. I don't think the Devs intended for Superguilds to form and gain 2x anyone else's points.

I believe you are correct.

According to what I'm finding, you get randomly paired with someone up to 15 "rankings" over you, or 15 "rankings" under you. Once you hit #1, that cuts down the field from which your opponent can be chosen to a field of 15.

The ultimate king-of-the-hill smackdown. :D

If that's true, it must only involve the guilds that are actually signed up for siege, because one time we were matched up with a guild 20 ranks above us (#24 vs #4).

But whatever, my post was meant to be tongue-in-cheek thing, I know the matchups are just randomness... we just happened to be more consistently matched up with higher ranking guilds rather than lower ones. Dawntreaders and Paladin have had some really tough matchups as well.

Being from Reni, and knowing what Wanted is capable of...I'm going to have to say "yes, those matches don't mean anything." lol And I'm not saying that to discredit anyone or anything - and I don't even /like/ saying it....but anyone who is from Reni and knows the guild even remotely knows that the only real challenge for them is gonna be in the top ten - or possibly even only the top 5.

Everything else before that is just fodder.

He has played 1st person shooter multiplayer games all his life and i guess smack talk is part of the game. No offense intended and hope to match up against you when we are both out of the dungeon. And I hate scouts, that is all. A little humor there, I can't beat them so I may join them.


Hats off to you guys it was a great siege and hella fun. We look forward to many more in the future, and no worries on the smack talk our scout can respond and fly arrows at the same time its all good. ;)

UPDATE:

-Added a new page to the site that allows anyone to select two guilds and see what guilds they have both fought and both guilds win/loss/tie records against those opponents.


It's happened to everyone. Your guild and another have been dancing all over a given bracket for months without fighting each other. But today the RoM gods have decided that your paths should finally cross.

Even though you haven't fought this guild, you know you've both fought other guilds within your bracket. You *could* open up each guilds siege history page and search for the guilds you've both fought and the outcome of those sieges. But this is both messy and very time consuming.

Using the new compare page will make your life much easier.



When you get to the compare page use the two drop downs to enter the guilds and voila.




Another interesting thing you can do with it is enter the same guild into both drop downs to see how many times they've had to fight the same opponent and a list of the individual guilds they've sieged against since the start of the TOP 50 site.

I don't know how many of their people have a forum presence but I'm guessing most here would know Legless (someone said in trade the other day that he isn't playing right now, though. Dunno.) ...and if it helps you get a mental picture of what kind of guild ...Madcat of Ragnarok used to be a founding member of Wanted.

Other than that, I don't pvp enough to know if you guys have crossed one another in arena...plus it appears most of them have rerolled scout alts anyway...so I dunno if you'd know them by their clothie counterparts or their new alts. Maybe they'll pipe up here and identify themselves. :)

I'm not a fan at all, but I admit they are probably one of the strongest guilds on Reni, maybe /the/ strongest currently.

Ragnarok and Wanted are pretty much the top two guilds on Reni.

Siege war should iron out who the actual top dog is once their paths cross.

So far as *who* is in wanted, I'll leave that to them should they want to come into the thread and say "Hi".

The only real issue I see Wanted having is their lack of experience sieging in the top 15.

I imagine they'll learn fast though.

We're just a myth, not a real group :D

I just logged onto the game and saw the matchup myself...it's like Rom's way of saying welcome to the top 15 lol. Should be fun tho, I like being thrown into the fire. And to the op, really nice work on the siege info-it's been very useful to see how some of my friends in other guilds are faring.

As well geared and skilled as Wanted is, they will lose to Pandemic because they don't have the experience of knowing how to fight against well geared, well organized guilds that can field a large number of players (20+).

I will warn Pandemic of this: Be prepared to be on the receiving end of every bug, glitch and exploit you know about, and don't be surprised if there's some you don't. Defend your processing plant from the first minute.

Good fight Pandemic

I'll be the first to say good fight, it ended as a tie. We had the lead at the lag dc, unfortunately for us they got the tower back. But it was a total blast, thanks for the fun; hope to do it again soon :)

indeed. some calculated miss steps by both teams prevented either from maintaining an upper hand.

From my vantage point no exploits were used by Wanted at all. They played a clean game and it was one of the more tense and entertaining sieges in a long while.

It really could have gone either way. For the armchair QBs out there, I'd wagger Wanted actually outgears us on average, if not entirely.

I look forward to a rematch, not because I think we'll win, but because a good fight is a good fight.

I am not suprised Wanted was able to hold its own against Pandemic. They have the top geared r/k's, scouts, healers on Reni. They are generally the first guild to clear new content on Reni as well. It used to be Legless's guild but I honestly dont know if Legs plays anymore.

Before most of Ragnarok quit, I saw Wanted and Ragnarok war each other and Ragnarok absolutely annihilated them. This was about a month ago. Oh how the tides have changed!!
