I can confirm that queuing is still going on as of right now. sigh. I forgot to sign us up this morning and even though it's only 5pm est, I am getting the stupid "full" msg. :( Tonight was the night we were gonna get points, I can feel it! :(:(

Sorry to hear that. :(

It seems to only let a max of 240 guilds play per night. And my guess is, it's the first 240 that get in.

(Versus a lottery type system where it chooses 240 randomly from a bigger list.)

Hope you have better luck tomorrow.

To be added within a week:

1. A siege war forum.

2. Guild notes. (I'll explain in detail once the forum is up.)

3. I'll probably split the list into brackets. Say, top 25 in one bracket, next 25 in another. Or possibly 10/10/10 etc. I'll be adding bracket threads to the forum so people can go there and vent/converse/whatever.

Yeah you see SUperbad is on it's way up... Currently in the Top 10...

I look forward to seeing you in battle!

You might even catch me going Super Saiyan Druid Level 2!

PS. Superbad isn't a cheating guild. Probably why we arn't higher in rankings.

Actually, im curious what is the minimum you Personally consider siege cheating? For ex.

Mount dropping treacheries, Shadowstep/charge through gate, etc? What's your minimum?

Pandemic has merced in the past I know some ppl that have gone over to them. Great idea I look forward to see how things progress.

I can't speak for when siege was new ... and I know members of Pandemic merc for others guilds, but for some time now they have not accepted or even asked for mercs.

I've been here over 2 months now, and have had friends in it for 6. In that time they haven't accepted mercs. Since the rankings weren't working prior to that point it's rather moot.

My old guild TSW actively accepted mercs, and merced. For some time we were the top Siege guild ... problem with mercing is it puts you in competition with better guilds.

oh and pandemic isn't a large guild*. We're lucky to field 15-20 players ina siege (2 at least are alts or afk in every match). I'll thank some other top 10 guilds for forcing us to play better, and not just rely on gear to win the day.

*things are however changing ;)

Top 10 guilds shouldn't (and most don't) need or accept mercs. Simple as that.

Personally, I only consider those using hacks to be cheaters. Removing game code so the gates don't exist and being able to instantly port all over the map would be considered cheating in my book. I get no more satisfaction then when we go up against a guild that uses these hacks and we still wipe the floor with them. You know who you are.

I do not consider shadowstepping or charging through the gate or shooting through walls to be cheating since the capability to do so is built into the game. Should they be part of the game? Probably not since it defies logic. Good guilds know that these are all possible tactics that their opponent may use and will adapt their play style or defenses to account for these possibilities.

Also, I think too many people are quick to label someone a cheater just because they don't understand all of the aspects of siege. My guildies in Superbad know that I am a big fan of invis towers. I can't tell you how many times people thought I was hacking because I would run up to an invis tower and disappear right in front of their eyes.

I've been labelled cheater cause my Priest can kill ppl :P

but ya, I've done that myself, not realizing something was possible. It's a learning process ppl. Just because you don't understand doesn't mean it's witchcraft errr cheating.

often times ROM feels like Salem.

I'm not one to call cheat unless I'm pretty sure of it.
I don't mind so much rogues coming through a closed gate, even though I don't think it's right
What bugs me, and did make me call cheat is the other day during siege, I came down off the roof and saw that there was a siege engine at the inner gate, no huge deal, except all the other gates were still up. While checking the HP on the outer gates (100, 100, and 75%) I got killed by a knight priest.
Saddest part about that is that the opposing guild so over matched us that they could have easily wiped us going one on one

in all likelihood that team took down an outer gate, was working on the inner gate, and your team rebuild the outer gate. Happens a lot when attackers don't fortify the gates after they're breached.

Yeah, I'd say that is the most likely scenario. It could be a hack, but not likely since I've never seen it done with a siege vehicle.

Glitchy

People need to understand that siege is very glitchy at times and may allow you to do thing that are not intended but this does not necessary mean people are cheating intentionally.

For example one time in siege a ram was able to go right through our castle wall but the opposing guild did not intend for it to go in our castle, they told us just destroy it.

Also as a warrior one time I was fighting near the gate and charged the enemy and as he ran back in the castle, I also charge pass the gate by accident. I just stood there and let him kill me but he still called me a cheater.

In addition a weird glitch happen one time when we crashed and got back in to siege and a whole wall of the opposing guild were missing for a few minutes before it came back up. SW is very glitchy and many time thing happen that are really weird but by no means do I consider every single little things that happen are intentional cheating or hacking.

It becomes more suspicious when it's the same guilds/players doing the fishy stuff over and over. I've seen the lag get so bad that a wall or gate disappeared and let someone ride right through it. Seen people teleporting around due to lag. But when the same player(s) in multiple sieges can 1) Walk through castle walls, 2) See/attack stealthed players from a distance regardless of the location on the map, 3) always show up to siege in a pk3 bubble.

All three of those things can be dismissed as lag or bad luck, but when it's the same guild, and the same players in that guild, over and over, coincidence kinda takes a back seat.

many of the issues you present are examples of players exploiting known bugs. if they have a better PC, if they know how to exploit the bugs which are so abundant in siege, they can rely on these bugs to give them an upper hand.

I have had Guild mates, pop right through the walls of the castle and they weren't trying. So it does happen.

Question though, what is/should be the protocol if you do end up popping through the wall of the castle?

Well, the honorable thing to do would be to run up one of the ramps and out of the castle through one of the portals in the castle wall.

I've accidentally glitched through castle walls before.

Only time it happend, it happened to be against a guild that was using very underhand tactics. So I destroyed their processing factory and made a kamikazi rush into their biggest R/K....

Normally though, I'd just walk out.

Yeah, like having a P/W that kills things. That is such an obvious exploit and needs to be fixed ASAP.

I'd kill the factory. The siege gods are obviously with us and against them at this point, and they are fickle, so take what you can before they swap sides again.

Woot! Upset in the top 10! #10 Superbad upsets #3 Nightsong. Great job to all my Superbad guildies and thanks to Nightsong for a fun (and clean) siege. I hope we get matched up again soon.

Big grats to your victory. It bumped you guys up two spots to #8.

And you are undefeated...

Should be an interesting weekend for Superbad.

Either Nightsong didn't have their full crew there, or they can't field 30 dudes anymore :(

When I was in my old guild we'd get owned by Nightsong twice a month or so.

And we're only undefeated since you guys started keeping track :)
Before that, we were on a losing streak caused by a lack of people showing up.

siege cheats

well the shadow step someone on a wall thing is seemingly a game mechanic that works as intended Shadowsteping someone on a wall that seems perfectly normal and exactly along the discription of the skill all you ahve to do is not give them a target.

howeve charging through walls doesnt seem normal to me

We all fight the same guilds we all see and know wich guilds abuse things the most

watch the same player same name in siege after siege ride right passed foruty treachury and fear flame towers without beign effected over and over.

see the same players droping treachurys while mounted or on a full run.

We know there are exploits out there we know wich guilds use them etc.

I can honestly say that impen has never used any of the bug type exploits and the worst we do is use shadowstep wich at the moment i have seen everyone use as you are simply pushing a button and using your skill.. you arent bugging anythign you arent explointing a bug etc.
