I'm back and it is up to date thanks to a tech savvy guildy/GL in DT that recorded SW for the week that I couldn't.

Also, a big BIG grats to Valkyrie for crushing 50k points in SW and dethroning Legacy as the highest scoring guild in SW history.

For the days between May 19th and May 27th T50 will again go with out its nightly updates.
We will be having our DT GL take the data again as he did for this previous week and we will update as soon as we return from our honeymoon.

All SW notes will be updated when we get back and get the database up to the current date. (The site should be back up to date no later than the 29th)

Our previous notice of absence was a little short notice so I am making this one well in advance.
Thank you for your understanding and sorry for any inconveniences.

Is there a place to see what SW rules are? Yesterday we had a mage take down everything in our guild without getting pass the gates. They used flame and other stuff outside of the gate...

Is this Ok or is it cheating an can be ban? Lossing all your things in guild under 5 mins is not fun....

As far as I have seen there is not an "Official" rule list up. Some one please correct me if I am wrong.

However, The GMs/CMs have made comments in the past as far as a few known "exploits" but again nothing was really ever "official"

Correct, there is no "Rule Book" for siege.

Also, as posted in an earlier response in this thread. There are some reasons for concern about the volume of people that are using Fraps and Screen shots on people that are not using anything questionable.
I ran into this situation a few nights ago.
I had taken a tower outside of their castle. There members were all lower geared, with the highest being a 62 Warden, and a 62 Mage of about 28k hp. They continued to try and re-take the tower but I kept taking them out. They came at me with 3-8 members consistently. After about their first 5 attempts they started calling me a cheat, a hack, all kinds of wonderful names etc etc. All this only because they couldn't kill me. Then after a little while they gave up on the tower I was defending. Shortly afterwards the rest of our guild took down their front gate. I abandoned the tower and headed into their castle. I went straight to their processing factory and started attacking. The factory was at the far back, on the right. After I destroyed the factory I had 8 players on me, again calling names etc. etc. etc. I left the back area of their castle and notice they had rebuilt the gate and I had no others from my guild in the castle........So guess what the new accusation was?
Point is that depending on when a video is started, and how a screen shot is taken it could be made to look like someone is actually using exploits, even when they are not. If a video was started when the gate was down...it's all fair. If the video was started after the gate was rebuilt....I'm a hack. Videos and screen shots can be used as much as an exploit as the tactics in siege if so desired.

It has already been pointed out that screenshots and FRAPS are incapable of catching most of the hacks and are not adequate proof for most of the cheats. Why they are still asked for, is a mystery.

Only monitors on the server traffic will catch most of the hacks, and the kick/ban could be immediate. Why waste manpower on viewing screenshots and videos that do not catch the worst offenders? Players should be directly their heat on efforts on Frogster to write scripts to moniter the server traffic and issue immediately bans. If the bans were indeed issued on a false positive, THEN the customer support can unban them on a case by case basis.

I want to remind people this is a thread for the t50 website. please do not turn it into a discussion about siege in general as it will likely turn into some sort of argument. the forum mods monitor this thread closely and will close it if that happens.

There are a lot of pages in the thread, and I'll admit I wasn't too eager to search 60+ pages for a question :x I have a question though:

Why is it the Top 50 Siege site sometimes does not update nightly, or the score would show up as "No Entry?" My guild currently has 3800+ points, but on the list we are still at ~3200. Will that scoring eventually get corrected?

The site does not update automatic. The owner of the site has to do it and i believe he now has stuff that keeps him busy irl making it hard for him to update all the time. The no entry is when he updates but finds out he does not have the info for that date do to waiting to long or something.

My answer might not be 100% right but it is at least 85% right

Would be great if more then one person could run the site oh and if the added a compare function between guilds that gives you the % of what guild the site thinks will win =)
