A Guild for New Elf Players

Hello, new player! I am Ireofnature, and I am a level 52/41 Warden/Warrior on the Reni server. I have created a new guild for players who like playing the Warden or Druid classes, or if you just like playing as an elf. :) The name of the guild is called the Orderoftheelves ("order of the elves"), and I am its Guild Leader and owner. We are a new guild (currently level 2), and we are looking for players to join our community (it's currently just me and my 2 friends :P ). Since our guild is currently at a low level, I can't guarantee you all the benefits of a high leveled guild, but what I can guarantee you is good company, helpful people, and a good start to the beginning of your adventures in Runes of Magic. I am fairly knowledgeable on the Warden and Druid classes, so if you have any questions about your class, I can answer them.

If you are interested in joining, then please send me a private message (or "whisper") when you log into the game.

Update:

I forgot to edit this last week, but we are accepting humans into the guild. I do understand that not inviting Knights into the guild is not really a good idea, but I am aiming to see if the Warden/Warrior can tank well for parties in the higher instances.
Any Ubuntu gamers out there running Runes of Magic through WINE or PoL? Just curious.

There are two of them? There is another guild on Reni which has been world-shouting that they are taking only people who have Wardens or Driuds as one of their classes. Sides, isn't restricting a guild to a single race just a little... umm... err... you know? :p
-- Rustyx --- 92R / 92S / 92M on Reni (Guild KnightShift). Yes, running the new FOTM R/M, cause I am not elf enough to be WD/S.

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.

I'll be the first to admit that sort of thing was all over the place when Chapter II came around. The racism movement against either Human or Elf was absolutely hilarious, and while I myself am a huge fan of Elves in general (despite my character being human by practical choice) I found it rather sad that the first (Warden [don't know how to do the accent on the 'a' there]) showed up as late as Chapter IV. Either way that's just my take. Rustyx does have a point. (>o.o)>

Well, actually, there are a few things about my guild that I'm trying to do that makes me different from Warden. (1) It's not that I'm a big racist poopnose, but rather, like Warden, I too wanted a guild that can be available to help out the Warden players and improve the respectability of the class. When I started playing back in Chapter 3, Wardens did not get a lot of love nor respect for their class -- but that's not totally shocking considering how broken they were. Although that is what I wish to do, I do not think that I, nor my guild, are in any position to be a real shaker/mover at the moment. Lol. (2) I try to be a bit more flexible with recruitment in regards to whether you're an elf or not. One of the main experiments of my guild that I hope to test out in the future is whether the Warden/Warrior can successfully tank for a party or not. But of course, every guild needs a Knight (I'm not stupid :P ), so I'll definitely be looking for Knights to join. My main focus for recruitment is to bring people of the non-mainstream or "misfit" classes (like the Mage/Warrior) into my guild and give them a home where they can be helped and loved by a friendly community of players who are willing to give their class combo a chance instead of dismissing them firsthand. I know what that feels like, and it's not fun. :(

Hey! If you guys know of anybody looking for a guild, please send them my way! I really could use some members. Lol :D

Oh, and thanks Kalvan for moving my post. XD

Strange though, don't you think? If you had intended for the OrderOfTheElves to be a haven for the underappreciated class combos then why thematically name it OrderOfTheElves? I'd have thought "Underappreciated" would have worked just as well, although I will note that I (playing Human) would certainly guess most Human players would feel a bit odd being human with "[Orderoftheelves]" hovering over their heads all the time. It just doesn't make sense, you know?

That and I might note that Warden as a primary class - yes, is very much underappreciated, but there are countless killer combos based on the elites off-warden gives to several classes (take Scout or Warrior, for instance).

I'm not trying to down the idea of having a guild haven for the less reputable class builds - especially since I lead one for the just less reputable players - but it just.. doesn't make sense for your approach.

I understand what you are saying, but in order to be competitive against Warden, I will need to invite more than just elves into the guild -- even though I think they are awesome. ;) One of the major experiments of my guild to be tested in the future is to see whether or not the Warden/Warrior can tank and/or tank as well as a Knight when properly geared, and to see if the Warden/Scout or the Warden/Rogue can match the dps of a Rogue-primary player. We can't know for sure at the moment, but when we can we will definitely test out those 2 hypotheses.

I think I can answer both of those without much experimenting at all.
Warden/Warrior (being the only deliberately aggro-building warden combo) can do a fair job tanking, but since all its aggro-build is on cooldown there's the fact that it will never keep pace with a knight spamming Holy Strike (plus Wardens don't have aoe aggro-building). The difference is, they dish out a fair amount of real damage over a knight.
At the same time, Warden/Scout and Warden/Rogue will never do quite the same damage as several rogue (or scout) combinations, but they'll also last significantly longer in a narrow situation.
Regardless, I'm done straying off-topic.. From one Guild Leader to another, best of luck.
