There has been a person botting EoJ's doing the Taz daily/public event for quite a few hours now. I can't mention guild names or player names in forums so channel 1 on reni.if gms in game actually enforce rules..

Cernunna...could u please state as to what evidence would be required? Can bottling be ascertained by a simple screen shot? What would actually be required by the OP to get a result for his effort?
Thanks

While a screenshot is not adequate proof of botting, it does show Support the area and character name, which they can then use in their investigations. It is sufficient.![]()

Really? has NEVER happend on my server, even had 5 people send in videos. The offical stance is a GM must fulfill certian criteria to confrim botting. Log in chat to the toon see if it responds etc etc.
Players screenshoting / fraps in not considered conclusive proof

Right - nothing you can send in is proof of botting, but it provides sufficient information for Support to investigate.
I'm sorry if I wasn't clear on that.![]()

So if nothing we can send in is proof of botting, then why does the support form we fill out ask us to provide a screenshot? We can simply tell you the players names and the location in which they were violating the TOS and the support staff would have gathered the same information without us having to go through the trouble of uploading videos and/or screenshots to the internet.
Seems very inefficient. Why not cut the fat?

You do realize that you quoted the answer--Support doesn't employ mind-readers, so you have to *tell* them about the alleged botter, which server they're on, which zone they're in, and what it is they are allegedly botting.
I don't see any "fat" there, flying.

You clearly missed the question.
The support form asks us to provide a screenshot.
Since "Nothing" we can provide is seen by support as evidence toward violations of the TOS, the support form is asking us to provide a useless addition to our tickets that does nothing more than consume the time of the person seeking support.
The Zavod suggests, screenshots 'could' help show the who and the where of violations taking place, but that same information can be provided much more clearly through a text entry by the submitter of the support ticket.
So the question still stands. Why are we being asked on the support form to submit 'evidence' when 'evidence' is not taken into consideration when the terms of service is being violated?

I tell them all the information and the guys specific coordinate location, not a darn thing is done after 2 months. Maybe rules would be enforced more if a GM would log in once in a while.

It's to the point people don't bother reporting anymore because it appears to the players that nothing is done. We report bots WITH screenshots and video, yet when the gm's log in they can't find where this bot is, so the gm logs off with "I checked and couldn't find them, next" mentality. So the bot continues, players get frustrated and stop reporting. Bots are taking over this game, slowly but surely.
There really needs to be a system where you can target the bot, click ONE button to report. The report would contain the server, channel, zone ID and coords in that zone. An "on call" gm can then immediately log in, check the reported facts and insta ban the botter. Players can spot bots within seconds, why can't the gm's?
