I'm sorry, but as a spokesperson for this company did you really just tell me to "lower my expectations" as a customer????? What the hell kind of messed up company is this?? Look, not a damn one of us wanted hourly updates, nor did we want tech info on what the sorry sacks that you have running this game were technically doing. All we wanted was to be reassured that someone was doing what they could. My freaking gawd you people are the worst sacks of crap I have ever encountered. You will NEVER get a single dime from me or anyone I know ever again....
smdh, lower my expectations, how about YOU guys lower YOUR expectations of making any more money.....
Sorry, had to reduce the size of your rant up there. It was taking up expensive real estate.
You're either rather new here or are an old-timer using an alt account. I don't know, nor do I really care. But let me 'splain a couple of things to you.
First, I'm a Mentor. That means I'm a RoM player who has has agreed to volunteer to help the
paid staff manage the forums. I do not get paid to do this, it comes out of my free time and, whether you believe me or not, my enjoyment of this here game. I've been a volunteer here for over three years.
There are things that both the
unpaid and
paid staff can and are allowed to make public. There are things which the
unpaid staff are not allowed to reveal (presuming that we actually know about them) due to something called a "non-disclosure agreement". I presume you know what those are. And then, there are things the
paid staff either are not unable or unwilling to reveal. In the case of "what's being done" about the Recent Unpleasantness, I'm pretty sure that it's a combination of both--proprietary information and a lack of "need-to-know" on the part of our regular members. And there are data protection rules and laws that we must follow.
You, among others, have asked, no,
demanded that regular updates be handed out like candy. Sorry, but that's not likely to happen, and for various reasons. Mentors, such as myself, do not have the information to give out. The
paid staff, both public (FM and CMs) and private (GMs and our tech people) are busy. If there's a development that can be passed along, it will be.
