An old hand considering getting back into the game...

Hello Palenque. My name is Hate. I am considering getting back into RoM after a few years away, but I'm curious as to the state of the game as far as activity goes, as well as if anyone I knew is still around. Is Nerfed still dominating? Has Envy been mysteriously revived? Does anyone I knew still play, or am I better off just joining a pvp server?
