Stuck in Yrvandis(possible bug), Advice Needed

Hello, I recently created a Dwarf character, but I appear to be stuck in the Dwarf starting zone. Any assistance or advice in helping me leave would be greatly appreciated.

Upon browsing the internet, I read that the quest "Save Our Faith" has the character pick up on item which starts a quest that rewards the Logar Teleport skill, or something along those lines-

However, I completed "Save Our Faith" just by running up to the statue behind the Gargoylem, I did not pick it up.
I have double-checked my inventory and the in-game chat log, and I am absolutely positive that I did not receive the item.
Because I have turned the quest in, I can not abandon and retake it.
I used the recall spell try and reset the Instance; the monsters respawned, but the statue behind the Gargoylem did not.

At this point, is there anything that I can do to leave the starting area?

You needed to click on the statue to retrieve it. However, if you handed in the quest, you wont be able to click on it now.

In order to proceed 'properly' you will need to file a ticket with Customer Support and ask if they can send you the statue.
(Make sure to register with the same email address as your game account if you haven't filed a ticket before.)

It is possible to 'escape' from Yrvandis Hollows by choosing a Secondary class too, as long as you're above level 10.
Use one of the two transport skills you have received - Transport to Logar or Transport to Reifort Camp.

So, is it already reported as a bug?

Ppl keep running into this problem over and over again... See here or here, for example.

The structure where you have a quest to do, you fulfill requirements and hand-in the quest only to realize that there is something else you should have done before handing-in the quest or else you will never be able to finish the epic quest line is ... let's just say "unacceptable". Some ppl will simply give up (pity, this should really not be happening!), some will write support tickets (well, cool - extra work for you guys if you like this as a solution).

There are multiple solutions, but the best probably is if the next quest was given by the NPC and not the statue. Then not only new players, but also everyone who has already given up on this quest line could go back and finish it. :D

I just created a dwarf alt, sent him a 10 exp orb. Then chose a secondary for him and got Transport to Logar and Transport to Reifor skills. It doesn't fix the issue with that quest but you'll be able to transport to other areas

Yes.

In my opinion, the quest to collect the Statue should not remove the statue from your bag until you hand in the quest given by the statue.

Great! :)

In my opinion, the quest to collect the Statue should not remove the statue from your bag until you hand in the quest given by the statue.
A tad formal side remark: I don't agree that what you describe would be a 100% bullet-proof solution. For most quests you can give them up and then take them again. What if you throw the statue away yourself after handing in the previous quest? You'll get stuck again... If you really want to keep it as a quest from statue then you should not be able to hand in the _previous_ quest (the one during which you can get the statue) until you _finish_ the quest given by the statue. (This way, even if someone throws the statue away he can always restart the previous quest and get a new statue.)

(And, yeah, while I agree that changing the quest so that it was given by an NPC would mean loosing some part of the charm of the story line, it might be simpler to implement than the above condition...)

You'd throw away Princess of Morfantas Stone Statue even though the tooltip says "Right-click to use this item." ?

Fine, it was a bit formal argument anyway. And just to make it clear, I totally agree that what you describe solves 95% of the cases! :D

I just thought that if it is to be changed anyway then why not choose a way that really makes sure no one hurts herself. Some people will throw it away (before or after accepting the quest), drop the quest (if they took it) and get stuck again. Not many, but still.

If I were you, I myself would simply not choose a solution that solves a part of the problem (even if it's a huge part) if there is another not too complex way that really solves everything. If the quest is given by an NPC or if you can hand in the previous quest only after you have _finished_ the statue quest, then there is absolutely no scenario in which someone would block herself from the remaining part of the epic quest line. Whatever you do, whatever you throw away, whatever quest you drop, you can always start again and go further. But if the only change is, as you describe, that the statue does not vanish after handing-in the previouis quest then there will be ppl who will get blocked. Not many but still - I would not choose a solution that means extra support tickes. Even if we can all reasonably expect that this will not happen on a regular basis, I think we can all agree that this will happen: if there is a way players can hurt themselves, some will. :dash:

PS: And well, yeah, besides being pretty dumb anyway, also as a rule I try to avoid reading items' descriptions, you see. :P

WHAT??? There's a quest from the statue? I have run the entire zone on 3 characters and did not right -click the statue. Most of the drops that have a "right-click" function seem to just open a message, so I click on very few of them. It is not self-evident that once you finish the entire zone, there is more to do. I selected a second class and went to Logar. On the first one I didn't even pick up the Morfantas City port skill. There isn't anything to advise the lady has something for you. I had to use a portal rune with a different toon to get him back there. :dash:
