To ALL Heavens Fury Members.

As some of you know I have been extremely busy lately trying to sort thru my current medical problems dealing with a cancer diagnosis. I am at this point unwilling to spend hours playing Rom when I need to spend time working even more hours at my job and trying to find a part time job to save enough to get me thru at least 6-8 weeks of post op surgery if I decide to choose that option. I go back to the doctor this coming Thursday August 13th where I will get the final results of last weeks MRI to see if and where anything has spread. At that point I will have a brief period of time to decide on which treatment plan I will or will not take. I have 3-4 options at this time and though I think I know which I will choose during the 13th appt., I still have questions for my doctor on the options and then I hope to have enough time to think of the best one and my current situation both for my future health and the financial consequences of each, length of time off, etc.

Off subject. I also upgraded to windows 10 after crashing several times. Lost everything I had on this computer, including ROM and I do not have the time to spend hours downloading everything but what ticks me off the most is I no longer have Microsoft office, which as you know has Word on it and which is and was my life for emailing, diaries, journals, etc. I am hoping to be able to afford a copy of that prior to surgery so I can continue to write when I am off work recovering. Writing has been my life since I was a little girl and it is driving me crazy I can not at the current time. And the cost is beyond me at the current time but I will manage and save the money up, for a actual retail disk so I will never be without it again, never worry!

Back to the subject. This guild has been a savior to me. Everyone has treated me with the utmost respect on me being deaf and not one ill comment was ever made nor a doubt of this slight disability I have. I wish I could have done more for the guild besides trying to donate as much as I could toward resources etc. I did not say a lot in chat but you all were funny and great individuals. It tore at my heart at times when I could not go and use vent with you all and hear your voices. The laughter and jokes you all must tell, I bet it is amazing the fun you have using it. Keep it up and enjoy the pleasure of talking to and about not only the game characters but the actual people behind the microphone. Never forget that the smile you bring to someone's face each day may be the only time they smile and laugh in that entire day.

In closing I would like to say. I wish you all the very best and may God bless you all and your loved ones. I need no response to this but I will check now and then, and maybe check for private messages.

Again thank you Heavens Fury for the joy you bought me, the acceptance of me, having the unofficial title of being the guild coward and the acceptance of who, Glenda is, and will be.

Don't know you and wasn't on your sever, however, thought I would mention there is a free alternative to M$ Office that even works with M$ Office file formats (including Word):

I've used Open Office as well. Personally, I like Microsoft better, but if I had to choose between paying or not, I'd choose Open Office. But, my college provides free MS 365, so xD

Good luck to you. I recommend downgrading from W10 until they have completed a few patches.

Besides Openoffice there's freeoffice (www.freeoffice.com), libreoffice (www.libreofice.com), and googledocs.

I'm so sorry to hear what you are going through, but don't ever say you never contributed. Whenever you logged in you would always say "good morning" to us all, even in fake world. You're always positive and kind and that means more than you will ever know for someone like me and like many of us.

I think I speak on behalf of us all when I say we will miss you...I hope you get some good news and I sincerely hope our paths cross again.

Wow Glenda, I am sorry to hear you are going through so much. Unfortunately, I know all about the emotional, physical and financial burden cancer can put on a person so let me just say this... the self proclaimed guild coward has more courage than most people could ever know!

Don't think you haven't contributed enough, you have done so much for our guild, just by being you. We all know and enjoy each other on a personal level. We are not just guild mates, we are forever friends and you are no exception!

As Kayla mentioned, you have also brought a smile and a fresh hello to the people of "ghetto world. People usually join ghetto world to troll and be obnoxious, you join with a welcoming "good morning" You have been a breath of fresh air. Govinda was a friendlier place with you in it.

As for vent... I did explain to people why you could not join vent, not everyone can so that is why our guild chat is so active... albeit strange. We made sure you weren't missing out on anything and trust me, the sound of our voices is like bamboo under your nails lol

As for MS office, I personally use http://www.kingsoftstore.com/ but there are many alternatives, [url]http://www.libreoffice.org/[/url] , http://wps.com/ and openoffice.org like a few people have previously mentioned. Not being able to afford MS Office should be the least of your worries.

F cancer. That's really all I have to say. Also please do some DEEP research into your options before just going traditional chemo route. I don't know about your personal case, but surgery is the better option long term. As for Windows 10. F that too! As for writing stuff. I'm in the same boat as you. <3 writing.

Best of luck with surgery (if you decide to do it) and recovery.

As for office issue, just create one of MS accounts (live.com, hotmail.com or outlook.com) if you already don't have one, and log into email and open 'one drive'.

There you can upload all your word documents, create new one online and/or edit existing one.

It is not like full version of Word, but it will work.

Other option - open office if you like to bother with installation. Another alternative would be Google Docs.

I am Bubbles, and am very sad not to have gotten to know you. Tho, Michele and Jarret may tell you that is a good thing :-)

Good luck with the crisis going on in your life. Your health is much more important then RoM. But like an STD, Heavensfury is always here, on FB, and even creeping around the corner.
