Need Pet interface help

New player. I have the breeder card inserted and I have a sand manicore egg but I can't get it into the interface slot. Someone help please.

Item shop pets are not real pets. You can summon them (and some give you useful buffs), but real pets are caught or bought on AH within game.

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.
