Advice for a Noob

Hey,

So I've been playing for a few months, and feel a bit stuck on certain things. I have done some extensive research and reading on most issues I have, but I think I need some "professional" advice. I have a few toons, but my favourite one is 55/53/28 Warden/Druid/Mage. My other toons include Mage/Priest & Warrior/Knight...but I haven't really spent much time playing with them. I've tried Scout/Rogue, but didn't like it as I died too much.

Right, so my 1st issue is, should I join a guild?? I have been playing solo and love it. But I struggle with some of the elite bosses, so what I do is wait until I'm about 15 levels above them and then go back for the kill. Not sure what the benefits of a guild are and if I will be good in one.

2nd question is...is the armor set in Lyk really worth the effort? I have started but I am now stuck on the 50 elite bosses for the staring eyes & mysterious tough meat. I have invested some time getting al the other stuff in Sascillia Steppes, and don't really want to throw away all that time and effort...but if it's not worth it, I would like to know how much those items are worth selling for?

3rd question...how important is it to have a pet and house maid? I have both but not really sure what to do with them.

Then lastly...probably the most important struggle I have is with hp and mp (7445 & 3688 respectively). I think it's quite low and that's why I struggle with the bosses. I have seen some videos of people of the same level as me, who has double the amount of hp/mp I have...so I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Whenever I get new armour/weapons/accessories, I choose something with stamina and wisdom or intelligence. Also, I haven't statted any gear or weapons, but I am working my way to making my weapon a tier 10, but it is taking me forever to get all the mana stones - I currently have 2x tier 7's and some lowers one's. Should I just complete the 3rd tier 7 and the tier my weapon, or should I wait until I have 3x tier 10 mana stones?

Sorry for all the questions, but I think I need help, as all the guides I have read online didn't really answer my questions.

Any other advice you think I should know will be greatly appreciated!!

1) yes join a guild (you are playing a MMO). your guild members can help you with a lot of your questions. I dont think there have been any players that can say they reached max lvl without help from other ppl (or a higher lvl toon).

2) the only thing that armor set is good for is maybe it's looks, otherwise I dont think anyone would even want it. so leave it be. you want the lvl 55 set from DL/ZS

3) housemaids provide great buffs and comsumeables, pets provides % inc in stats that is always useful, both takes a lot of time to lvl up so start early. I'm sure you can get some great guides on both the pets and housemaids.

4) most of the tiering guides are outdated. mostly good info, the only thing outdated is what to use for making mana stones. you need either purple gear lvl 90+ or blue gear lvl 94+ to get a tier 6 mana stone... if you can't get them in mass to get higher lvl tier stones, you can use lvl 85 white gear from vendors to make a tier 5 mana stone. it's usally recommended to get either a t9 or t10 weapon at ur lvl. the lack for stating ur gear is what is making all your stats low. your guildies can help you with that too since most people farm mysterious bags in high lvl areas that can give some good stats, specially for low lvls.

if you are on Mithras look us up in Disturbed, we have buff towers that will increase your HP/MP by 3677, MATK/PATK by 2732 and PDEF/MDEF by 5465 also have a stable that will give you a +18% riding speed which should help you.

so what is your in game name? Some of us could be useful in sending stats you could use. Some of us frequently farm bag stats that could be of use to you.
