We had such system where you were able to rate threads with 1-5 stars. Unfortunatelly, since it was not official plugin (but made by one of my colleagues) it didn't go well with Forum software and had to be disabled. I talked to our Board guy and he told me that at the moment he simply doesn't have time to write new plugin.Please add plus system to being able to recognize well made posts...

The whole problem is communications. Instead of giving us answers to our questions and requests and why or why not something is done, form someone who can actually help (not just want to help) and has the power to do something, time after time they appoint a sacrificial lamb to stand between the players and management. This person is well meaning and does their best to help but has no power or enough information to actually do anything or answer the questions or requests.
The result is another filter and with each filter the message from one to another becomes even less clear. After working with and being part of management for decades I realize this is the standard operating procedure to avoid problems and having to solve them. When management wants to solve the problems they will either come down to the forums themselves and answer the questions and make the changes immediately or appoint someone who has the power to change things instantly without further management approval.
Unless and until this is done you have to realize that they are not serious about making any changes.
Last information I have is: SoonTis great ter meeter all these new faces, esp the forum police. When do we get ingame police? (AKA GMs.)
Moving to another forum setup... how much is planned to be "lost" this time? Should we start copying down the information we want to see that has been redone? We already lost VAST stores of information that took YEARS to produce and that can never be duplicated once...But after we move to WBB4 that option will be default.
And yes, I know you wont belive a single word of what I'm saying until you actually see problems being fixed. And I respect that.
All I can tell you is - wait and see. You might be surprised (positive).
Ok, still waiting and nothing has been seen. The thread on the item shop they started in April had produced nothing and it is half past October. Just how long does it take to grab a handful of the items: Where we had to do all the work finding the items numbers and fit their template and listed items they have already programmed into the system. We had asked them for and to put them back in the Item Shop. This is the ultimate test where it takes no time to fix the problem that has been identified and the cure is easily available and the programing work already done to show that they actually intend to do anything and they have ignored it again.

Title says it all. In two weeks I'm moving on other projects and leavig RoM.US
To be honest, if someone offered me this transfer 6 months ago I would
be thrilled about it. But now? I'll just say I learned to like this
community and feeling oposite of being happy.
But that's life of Community Manager. We are often moved from one game to another. It's just you never get used to it.
I had a rough start here - can't deny it. Game was in the middle of
hacking attack and forum... forum was hell on Earh. Each post I wrote
was imediately quoted with 10 negative comments about Frogster,
Gameforge, me, team, community, game...
After finally realizing what was going on here I simply couldn't blame anyone for that.
Its been almost a year since I got here and I can say that this is one
very special community. In a good way. And this is not sucking up. Its
too late for that
Despite the fact we indeed have many trolls on forum - almost all active
members of this forum are Endgame players and they simply don't take BS
for an answer.
What I want to say is that I learned alot from you. And I honestly hope I
earned respect, at least from some of you. I know you all have my
respect.
I have to say one big THANK YOU to my team. Without them - I'm nothing.
We had couple of older guys like Yrcanos or Kalvan and we hired several new people like Beren, Moonlight, Salvaje, Kali...
In last 3 years I had many teams but I never saw this level of
professionalism anywhere. They are patient, polite, nice and FULL OF
knowledge. WHenever I had any question I could rely on them to give me
answer. I never had to worry if some announcement from Website will be
posted on forum in case I forget (tnx Beren).
They are simply amazing.
I will ask you one last time to join them and try to make this community even more awesome.

better. And I honestly want to belive I had a small role in that.
When I got here I promised I will forward all your (good ones) ideas to
Product Team and we shall try to see if any of them can be changed.
We introduced GMs - something you were always asking me for
We will (probably) change Siege Wars time shifts - I got hundreds of mails and PMs about it
We fixed Enchanted Throw - this was the mentioned in first report i sent to my team. It took us only 10 months
We got rid of hackers and duped items
We fixed support and waiting time on ticket reply is now MAX 48h.
We are organizing Events all the time >> Prizes could be better - I agree. We will work on it.
We are trying to get rid of goldsellers - ok that one time will tell if disabling DIA sale will work or not
We have new Shop Manager who IS listening what you want and is finally
offering different items on Shop Promotions. This can still be improved

My replacement will join this community on February 17th. His nickname
is Azathor and he is a cool guy. I have no worries and I'm sure you'll
get used to each other very fast.
After that I will stay on community with him for 1 more week to make
sure entire transfer was smooth. During that time you will start poking
him and I'll be here only as support.
On February 24th I will completely remove my access from community and
will stay only on #runesofmagic.us IRC channel as spammer/troll.
