Not sure if I am breaching some kind of forum rules or anything for asking this question or not, but how many of the GM/MODS actually work for GF. And I mean genuinely walks into GF's building at 9 am every day. if the answer is none at the moment, then would it not be a good idea to have someone who works directly for GF to be a regular MOD/GM as well?

I mean this way when players ask for updates we can get a genuine answer and not frustrated GM's going we don't know and as soon as we know you will know. I mean this situation doesn't bode well for either the players or the GM's who gets rather annoyed and that's completely understandable. I think aqualink may have raged a little bit when he/she closed the thread the server merge thread recently. (Idk if that was cause of my gifs or not. I think those gifs are hilarious, also pictures speak a gazillion words, and I sure as hell would not want to type a gazillion words).

Where as if we had someone who works directly for GF they can drop in like for 5 min once every 1-2 weeks and be like "yo yo yo we've identified the relevant parts in the source code that needs to be changed and the modifications are currently being made. We will run the modified client in our test server next week or w/e and let you know how it goes." or some technical stuff to keep us noobs in the loop.

community-wise, CoMa (CM) is the lowest GF employee position.

GM's/mods/greenies are all volunteers.

Go to the top of the page, to the tab labeled 'Team'. Only the community managers 'walk into the GF building at about 9am CEST MtF'. You may see posts from SiS, Celes, Azathor, or our new interim CoMa. Their text usually shows blue, and their posts have the same blue outline the GMs have.

Sorry to rain on the parade, but from the GMs you'll get "when we know, you'll know" and from the CoMas you'll hear "when I'm allowed to say, I will".

Maybe. But, not so good for us. He was very supportive of his team, and we're sad to see him go.

So, how long did he last....a month and a half or so? That's pretty fast turnover.
